The Los Angeles Rams have been on a roll, winning four straight to climb to 7-2. A significant reason for their success has been veteran wide receiver Davante Adams, who has been outstanding through nine games. But in Week 10, Adams suffered an oblique injury that now puts his Week 11 status in doubt.

What Is the Latest on Davante Adams’ Injury and Week 11 Status
The future Hall-of-Fame wideout was having yet another great game, pulling in six balls for 77 yards and a touchdown. But in the early moments of the fourth quarter, on a 2nd-down pass play, Adams struggled to get out of his break and then noticeably grabbed at his lower back.
Adams left the field slowly with the assistance of a trainer and then headed to the medical tent afterward. Adams was then listed as questionable with what was called a back injury. Though he didn’t return, possibly because Los Angeles had the game mostly in hand, defeating San Francisco 42-26.
During the postgame, head coach Sean McVay gave a very encouraging update regarding the former All-Pro, clarifying that Adams actually suffered an oblique injury:
“He got his oblique. Think he probably could have been able to come back if it was a little bit closer, kinda similar to Puka (Nacua) last week. But he was outstanding today. You really felt his presence early and often in the game, comes away with another touchdown, but I don’t have an update in terms of anything specific.”
Adams had the chance to answer questions as well, and when asked how he was feeling, he responded, saying it was “biting a little bit in the game” but that he was “feeling better now.”
A day later, on a Monday interview, McVay noted that he “didn’t have any updates yet,” but also added, “I’ll be surprised if Davante Adams doesn’t make it to next week.”
This is a highly positive sign for a player who has helped elevate the Rams’ offense to another level. As McVay quoted it, Adams is “playing as really his best ball. He’s just getting better and better. He’s like a fine wine. Just getting better with age.”
Adams has recorded a league-high nine touchdowns this season, with six coming in the past three games, along with 42 receptions for 568 yards. The 32-year-old hasn’t lost a step, helping LA to second on PFSN’s Offense Impact meter. The Rams have a huge matchup in Week 11, hosting the Seahawks at home. Both teams sit at 7-2, making this game crucial for the division lead.
Finally, while nothing is guaranteed, McVay’s comments give Rams fans some hope that Adams could play on Sunday against Seattle. His participation in practice over the next couple of days will be key in determining his availability.
