After Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams went down to injury and headed to injured reserve, there was much chatter about who the Rams would rely on in his stead. After a week of RB confusion, head coach Sean McVay landed on Darrell Henderson Jr. Henderson finished as RB15 in Week 7 with 61 yards rushing.
Week 8 was odd for the Rams. They traveled to Dallas and were massacred by the Cowboys 43-20, and none of the offense was functioning as it usually does. Henderson had 31 yards rushing and 54 yards receiving, and the RB TD went to Royce Freeman. Henderson still had the most RB carries on the team and is clearly the RB they trust the most; it was just a game script that went bad for Los Angeles early and often.
Henderson looked great in the passing game, catching all three of his targets. He was the only RB targeted through the air. Should fantasy football managers pick him up off the waiver wire this week?
Should Darrell Henderson Be a Fantasy Waiver Wire Add in Week 9?
Henderson is only 45% rostered in Yahoo and is a great waiver wire target in this land of injured RBs and bye weeks. I expect the Rams to bounce back next week after being thoroughly embarrassed by the Cowboys.

QB Matthew Stafford sustained a thumb injury late in the game, and it is uncertain what that will mean for him moving forward. If the Rams have to start backup QB Brett Rypien next week at Green Bay, this could mean the offense leans more on its running game. Williams is not able to return until Week 12, so Henderson could be in line for a significant workload next week against the Packers, who are 30th against RBs.
