Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones’ Hall of Fame Induction Questioned With Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Still Awaiting a Spot

Ian O'Connor questions the validity of Jerry Jones' Hall of Fame status as Robert Kraft reaches his 11th Super Bowl with the Patriots.

The New England Patriots are going back to the Super Bowl, and the Dallas Cowboys are still sitting at home on Championship Sunday. It could be 1997, 2002, 2015, 2018, or even 2025; it’s a fate all too familiar to NFL fans and Cowboys fans. The pressure is mounting on Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to deliver a championship, and it’s been quite a while.

Jerry Jones’ Hall of Fame Induction Doubted After Another Failed Season

Jones is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft isn’t. Kraft is a six-time Super Bowl champion and has delivered for the New England faithful time and time again. Ian O’Connor, a journalist, went in on Jones for being in the Hall of Fame while one of the most successful owners of all time cannot share that same honor.

“Patriots owner Robert Kraft has been to 11 Super Bowls since Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it to his last one…and Jones is the one in the Hall of Fame. Go figure,” said O’Connor.

Getting a team to eleven Super Bowls is wild. No other team has ever made more than eight appearances in the big game, and Kraft has had his squad there 11 times since Jones last delivered for the Cowboys. Kraft won’t have to wait too long, as soon as the Hall of Fame wants him in, he’s in.

Jones has been under constant scrutiny for the job he’s done with Dallas. It is not up to their standard, and it’s been 30 years since they last won the Super Bowl. He took a lot of heat for his handling of Micah Parsons, which led to Parsons being traded away.

The Cowboys had an elite offense in 2025, but their defense was abysmal. Outside of a few good performances in the middle of the season, the Cowboys’ defense couldn’t get stops. They finished dead last in PFSN’s Defense Impact score. It’s almost like trading away your generational edge rusher will make your defense worse. But Jones is a Hall of Famer and Kraft isn’t, so maybe Kraft could learn a thing or two.

All in all, Jones is going to have to find plenty of answers for this Cowboys team to make it back to the Super Bowl. The offense has the talent, but until this team can field a competent defense and show up in the big moments, expect Kraft and the Patriots to make a 12th Super Bowl before the Cowboys get another chance at winning a Lombardi.
