Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs Inactives: Tee Higgins Inactive For 2nd Straight Game

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without four players Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs as they try to avoid a third straight 0-2 start.

CINCINNATICincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will miss his second consecutive game in 2024 and third in a row dating back to last year due to hamstring injuries.

Higgins was one of three Bengals listed as doubtful on the final injury report, along with rookie offensive tackle Amarius Mims and tight end Tanner Hudson, while rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins has been ruled “OUT.”

Who Are the Inactives for Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs?

Higgins was running routes on the field at Arrowhead Stadium before the game, but it was half speed  and just a continuance of the rehab-field work he did in practice this week.

With Higgins out in the season-opening loss to the New England Patriots, Andrei Iosivas played all 48 snaps and should see a heavy workload again, along with Ja’Marr Chase.

After playing 40 of 48 snaps in the opener, Chase was a full participant in all three practices this week and said he expects to play most of the snaps Sunday.

Hudson injured his knee in the season-opening 16-10 loss to the Patriots. He tried to return to practice on Thursday but was unable to go Friday. Despite being listed as doubtful, he is active today, likely because he is the emergency long snapper.

Hudson did not do much in pregame warmups.

Mims is still working his way back from a pectoral injury suffered in the Aug. 10 preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He’s been practicing for three weeks but has been limited each time.

Jenkins injured his thumb in practice last week and had surgery on Sept. 6. He hasn’t practiced since the surgery, but head coach Zac Taylor said the procedure the rookie could be able to play with a heavily wrapped right hand and that a stint on Injured Reserve wasn’t needed.
