One of the biggest question marks entering this offseason was the future of one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the NFL, Travis Kelce. After a 13-year career, his decision remains uncertain. But he’s already expressed interest in a career in broadcasting once he calls it quits.

Travis Kelce Reveals Favorite Thing About the NFL

An 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion, Kelce has done virtually everything there is to offer in the league. Ranking at number 12 on PFSN’s TE Impact last season, it is a testament to his greatness that his year felt underwhelming.

Putting up an NFL record 1,000 yards seven times as a tight end, he has been one of the biggest foundational pieces for his franchise’s recent success. Ushering in a dynasty alongside Patrick Mahomes, he’s etched his name in football history.

But at 36, with a ton going on outside of his life as an athlete, the end is nigh. For many, the 2025 season was going to be a swansong for the once-in-a-lifetime athlete. But recent hints suggest he is coming back for 2026 at the very least.

Yahoo Sports provided an update on what the next phase of his career was going to entail.  “Travis Kelce appears as if he will try to play another season before potentially trying broadcasting, where he would like to call games but probably could pick up at least $15 million per year as a studio presence.”

However, before he moves to the studio permanently, he’s already made a name for himself in the sports media landscape. His podcast alongside brother and Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce, “The New Heights Show,” is a regular treat for football fans.

On the latest episode, they had Hall of Famer Randy Moss join the show. The two former NFL players bonded as they were reminiscing about the unique experience of being in a locker room. Then, the question turned to Taylor Swift’s beau.

“Man, I think it’s just those those moments in the big games, man. The feeling of having to to rise to the occasion. Be there for 70,000 that are all counting on you out there,” Kelce revealed directly to Moss.

“Those moments of rising to the occasion in the heat of the battle in the playoffs and all the big games out there, man. That’s a feeling that I know I’ll never get again. Those are the things that you cherish the most.”

Continuing on the feeling, he added, “And especially, you know, if you’re fortunate enough to be in the playoffs and make runs at it, the satisfaction that you get and the the successful feeling you get of all the hard work that you put in, it’s finally paying off and and uh I think that’ll that’ll be one of the things I miss the most, man.”

As a three-time Super Bowl champion with one other appearance to his credit, the resume for Kelce speaks for itself. The all-time leader in postseason receptions and the greatest playoff tight end ever, he repeatedly took his game to new heights in the biggest spots. So it’s no wonder that it’s the aspect of football he’ll miss the most.
