The Chicago Bears had the most significant win turnaround from 2024 to 2025 in the entire NFC. After a disappointing 5-12 campaign last season, they bounced back with an 11-6 season in 2025, winning the NFC North in their first year with Ben Johnson as their head coach.
They played the Green Bay Packers in their Wild Card matchup on Saturday night. Since they won against their divisional rivals at Soldier Field, who could the Bears face in the Divisional Round?
What are the Chicago Bears’ Playoff Scenarios?
As the No. 2 seed in the NFC, the Bears are guaranteed home-field advantage in the Divisional Round.
After their win over the Packers, they had two potential teams they could face in the Divisional Round: the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams.
#UPDATE: After the Eagles’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Bears will face the Rams in the Wild Card round.
If the Eagles defeat the 49ers on Sunday, the Bears would face them in the Divisional Round no matter what. It’s worth noting that Chicago beat Philadelphia 24-15 during the regular season, with the Eagles serving as the home team in that game. The matchup would head to Chicago if both teams advance.

The last time the Bears faced the Eagles in the playoffs was in the 2018-19 NFL postseason, when the Eagles won in the Wild Card round in the infamous “Double Doink” game.
Should the Eagles lose to the 49ers, Chicago would play the Rams. The last time they faced the Rams in the postseason, the Bears won in the 1985 NFC Championship. They went on to win Super Bowl XX that year.
Could the Bears Host the NFC Championship Game?
The Bears could host the NFC Championship game if the Seahawks get eliminated in the Divisional Round. Seattle is the only team with a higher seed than Chicago, so a Seahawks loss would send the NFC Championship to Soldier Field if the Bears win two consecutive playoff games.
Of the six other playoff teams, the only two the Bears were not able to face in the NFC Championship are the Packers and the Eagles. Chicago obviously faced Green Bay in the Wild Card Round, and with the Eagles having the No. 3 seed, they’d be guaranteed to face the Bears in the Divisional Round if Philadelphia wins on Sunday.
