Chargers Announce Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, Oronde Gadsden II, Quentin Johnston Injury Updates on Friday for Week 11

Year 2 of the Jim Harbaugh era has gone about as well as the Los Angeles Chargers could have hoped for. Despite the injuries to the offensive line, the combination of Justin Herbert and a strong crew of pass catchers has given them an offense at par with their stifling defense.

As a result, they’ve been competitive throughout the year and stand ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs in the standings. But as the season enters a pivotal Week 11, the injury report featuring Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, and Oronde Gadsden II is going to worry a major section of the fan base.

Chargers Injury Report for Week 11

The offense for the Chargers has been underwhelming so far this season, ranked 16th on PFSN’s Offense Impact. It’s easy to pinpoint the dip in offensive production to the injuries to the offensive line, with Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt serving as the biggest blows.

That has directly resulted in Herbert throwing eight interceptions through 10 games, a shocking number considering he finished the 2024 season with three in total. With the Chiefs hot on their heels, and the gap with the Denver Broncos only widening, they will be hoping to continue their winning ways in Week 11.

Against another desperate team in the playoff race within the conference, the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are coming off maybe their worst loss of the season, Los Angeles will want to put their best foot forward.

But the injury report through the first two days of practice was a scary sight for its fan base. McConkey and Johnston, who have been dealing with ankle and shin issues, respectively, were limited participants throughout the week.

Additionally, their standout rookie tight end, who left their Week 10 game early, appears to have missed no beat. Attending both practices in full capacity, Gadsden seems like a lock to be in the lineup for the game.

The prodigal son, Allen, who returned to the team this year and seems to have found his groove once again, while simultaneously acting as a mentor to the younger receivers on the team, was given a DNP on Wednesday with a non-injury-related rest designation.

On Thursday, though, he was back in practice, albeit in a limited capacity. As a true veteran on the squad on the other side of 30, it seems clear that LA is managing his workload to keep him fresh for what they hope will be a deep run in the playoffs.

On Friday’s injury report, the Chargers confirmed that Allen, McConkey, and Gadsden were all full participants and, barring any late setback, are expected to play in Week 11. Johnston is listed as questionable for the upcoming game, though he, too, was a full participant in Friday’s practice.
