What Happened to Beau Pribula?

During today’s clash against Vanderbilt, Pribula was stretched off the field with an injury that could potentially seriously damage Missouri’s hopes this season. Before the injury, Pribula had thrown for 68 yards.

“Missouri QB Beau Pribula was carted off the field and moved into a wheelchair with his leg in a cast. It would be a huge blow for the Tigers, who will have to turn to true freshman Matt Zollers.” National CFB writer Chris Hummer revealed.

Pribula attempted to run the ball on fourth-and-goal on the Tigers’ first second-half possession, attempting to score the first touchdown of the game. He was swarmed by the Vanderbilt defense as he fell awkwardly backward, favoring his left leg.

Following the injury, Freshman quarterback Matt Zollers took to the field, with a missed field goal after throwing for 52 yards and a touchdown on 8/11. Zollers has thrown for 75 yards this season and threw his first touchdown against the Central Arkansas Bears.

UPDATE: It has been reported from the Missouri sidelines that Pribula will be out for the rest of the game. Zollers will take control of the offense for the remaining quarter while level at 10-10. There are no other official updates at this current point in time.

UPDATE:  “Beau has no broken bones, but he did have an ankle injury that had to be popped back in. So, don’t have a timetable for his return, but it could be a while.” Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz gave an update on the quarterback.

This season, Pribula has been one of the most impactful in the nation according to PFSN’s CFB QB Impact ratings. Coming in at 32nd nationally, the quarterback has thrown for 1617 yards and 11 TDs this season, as we await an update on the Missouri star.
