Shilo Sanders is shifting gears after his brief stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 25-year-old safety, who joined Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent after playing under his father at Colorado, now has his sights set on acting, music and modeling.
His move reflects interests he has pursued before, including modeling in Paris and portraying his father in the series BMF. Colorado coach Deion Sanders noted Thursday that he once considered acting himself, a “peculiar” revelation as Shilo prepares to pursue the same creative direction.

Shilo Sanders Might Turn to Entertainment After Tampa Bay Stint
Shilo Sanders is preparing for life beyond football after his release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with plans to explore acting, music and modeling. Shilo has spoken candidly about his interests and possible move to Los Angeles or Atlanta to pursue opportunities.
“I got a spot in Tampa till December, I think. And then I need to figure out where I’mma live at. I’ve been thinking about L.A., you know, for the acting stuff and for the music stuff,” Shilo said in a recent YouTube video. “You know, there’s a lot of people that do my music videos that’s coming out that I don’t know.”
Shilo’s creative ambitions are not new. He previously modeled clothing in Paris in 2024 and appeared as a young version of his father in an episode of the Starz drama BMF.
He also highlighted his long-standing interests outside of football in an earlier video, saying, “You always want to have other interests that you’re interested in. I’ve always done that my whole life playing football, with music, acting, modeling.”
He continued, “I’m well-versed, and my parents make sure of that, so I’ve been prepared for anything that happens, cause you never know what could happen.”
His father has backed that direction. Speaking on the Colorado Football Coaches Show, Deion Sanders said, “He’s had a couple interviews related to acting. I was gonna go down that avenue once upon a time. I think that’s the avenue that… or streaming… that Shilo’s gonna go down, because he has that gift, man.”
In his latest video, Shilo also gave insight into his personal lifestyle choices. While reflecting on his day in Tampa, which included a stop at a cigar shop, he said, “Dad, you can’t say nothing about me today. I’m 25 years old and if I need a cigar, I should be able to smoke.”
He went on to clarify, “I don’t like alcohol. I don’t like weed. None of that stuff, dog. Like, you know, that’s something that I got from my dad. Even though Snoop Dogg is one of his best friends, I believe he hasn’t drank or smoked before. So, you know, that’s something that I get from him. We don’t like stuff like that. You know, the Sanders men don’t.”
For now, Sanders is weighing his options, but his words and experiences point to a future centered more on stages and screens than stadiums.
