LSU Commit Tristen Keys Becomes Face of Adidas’ High School NIL Push

Tristen Keys’ partnership with Adidas was announced earlier this month, placing him among an elite roster of young football talents. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound junior said that the deal means a lot to him. “When I went out there, I was surrounded by great people. They knew a lot of great things, and I made a lot of great connections,” said Keys to On3.

The deal that Adidas offered Tristen Keys is one of only three secured by high school football players with Adidas nationwide. While the exact figure has not been made public yet.

With projections placing the deal between $500K and $1M, Tristen Keys isn’t just making headlines- he’s making history.

Tristen Keys Uses NIL Deal to Inspire Hometown Dreams in Hattiesburg

The No. 1 prospect in Mississippi sees his NIL deal as a beacon for kids in Hattiesburg. “It’s truly a blessing,” he said. “The most important part for me is just showing the kids back home that it’s possible, and it’s a lot of opportunity out there. If you have a dream, go chase it.”

In an often overlooked state, Keys’ rise alongside Mississippi’s 2024 law allowing high school NIL deals post-eligibility can be the roadmap for many young athletes from the state.

Keys’ talent is not limited only to football; he has also earned a bronze medal in the high jump as a sophomore and averaged 8.3 points per game in basketball. His versatility was on display at the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game, where he scored 3 catches, 31 yards, and Polynesian Bowl, where his results were 5 catches, 41 yards, and 1 TD.

Keys’ Adidas deal, paired with his LSU pledge, is all set to give the young talent a massive boost. Though he can’t wear Adidas cleats on LSU’s Nike-sponsored field, his off-field marketing opportunities are massive.

As he prepares for a transformative senior year, Keys also carries the hopes of Hattiesburg’s youth.
