Lane Kiffin Targets Big O-Line Upgrade as Transfer Portal Heats Up
Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton entered the transfer portal on Monday and immediately attracted strong interest from LSU. He is expected to remain in the national spotlight each day and will continue his recruitment journey with a visit to Baton Rouge on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Seaton’s recruitment is expected to be competitive, as Miami and Mississippi State have already hosted him. Before his upcoming visit to LSU on Sunday, he stopped by Baton Rouge on Thursday.
Seaton is now ranked as the second-best player available in the NCAA transfer portal by On3/Rivals and holds ESPN’s No. 4 spot overall in the portal. He has a 76.9 rating in the PFSN CFB Player OL Impact Metric. A product of IMG Academy, and was a five-star recruit, Seaton was ranked No. 18 overall in the 2024 class by Rivals.
Seaton immediately took over the left tackle position at Colorado, as he protected former quarterback Shedeur Sanders in 2024. He started the most games ever by a true freshman in Colorado history, and played 809 snaps that season, marking the highest for the offense. In 612 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just three sacks and had 11 games without giving up a sack, earning Freshman All-America honors in Coach Prime’s first season.
Seaton exploded in the 2025 season, playing and starting in the first nine games before missing the final three due to injury. He contributed the fourth most snaps on the offensive line with 541 while allowing one sack, zero quarterback hits, and five pressures. This quality performance earned him second-team All-Big 12.
Seaton can be a perfect fit for LSU, which holds a 76.1 score in the PFSN College Football Offense Impact Metric. Joining Kiffin’s squad would give him national title exposure and the chance to continue developing NFL-caliber skills.
Seaton would be blocking for a talented group at LSU, including former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, who is rated No. 62 in the PFSN College Football QB Impact Metric with a 79.7 score. The Tigers also recently added Husan Longstreet from USC and Landen Clark from Elon in the QB room.
