The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are going to get a bit of a home game on Tuesday when they go up against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, which kicks off at 2 p.m. ET in Shreveport, La.
While the Louisiana Tech campus is located in Ruston, La., that still makes this bowl game within driving distance for those Bulldogs fans looking to watch their team play.
Coastal Carolina comes into the bowl game with a 6-6 overall record, while Louisiana Tech is 7-5 for the season.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Opt-Outs and Injury Report
After the Chanticleers fired Tim Beck as their head coach, Jeremiah Johnson, who previously served as defensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech, will coach the team in this bowl game.
As for those Coastal Carolina players who have opted out of playing in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, they include offensive tackle Nick Del Grande and offensive lineman Joseph Hanson. Both players have announced their intentions to head to the transfer portal.

Quarterback Tad Hudson leads the Coastal Carolina offense, passing for 942 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions this season. Javin Simpkins paces the Chanticleers’ run game, carrying the ball for 568 yards and two touchdowns.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Opt-Outs and Injury Report
As for the Bulldogs, they have a number of players who have opted out from Tuesday’s bowl game. Louisiana Tech has lost five players to the transfer portal. They include quarterback Evan Bullock, running back Omiri Wiggins, defensive backs Michael Richard and Jacob Fields, and linebacker Mekhi Mason.
Bulldogs fans will get a chance to see quarterback Blake Baker run the plays on offense. He’s thrown for 1,251 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions on the season.
As for the Louisiana Tech run game, look for Clay Thevenin to pick up some carries. Thevenin has 605 yards rushing and eight touchdowns on the season.
How to Watch the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl will be shown on ESPN with that scheduled 2 p.m. ET kickoff.
Clay Matvick will have the play-by-play call in the booth. Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel, who played his college ball for the Missouri Tigers, will be alongside for commentary Harry Lyles Jr. will roam the sidelines and offer reports during the game.
