How To Watch Georgia vs. Georgia Tech: TV Channel, Date, Time, and More for Black Friday College Football

Georgia and Georgia Tech meet in a ranked rivalry Black Friday showdown as the Bulldogs fight to secure a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

Friday marks the 118th meeting between rivals No. 4 UGA (10-1) and No. 23 Georgia Tech (9-2), this year taking place on neutral turf at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Bulldogs enter with a seven-game winning streak against the Yellowjackets, and with Georgia firmly in the College Playoff race, a loss could knock them out entirely.

Both teams are ranked, but the stakes are significantly higher for Georgia as it closes out its regular season.

Where Are the Two Teams Standing Heading Into Week 14

Georgia and Georgia Tech head into rivalry week after strong seasons, each staying near the top of their respective conferences. The Bulldogs are  7-1 in SEC play. And the Yellow Jackets are 6-2 in ACC play.

Kirby Smart once built a talented roster, and the Bulldogs enter the final week ranked inside the top five. According to the PFSN Offense Impact Rankings, Georgia’s offense is ranked No. 15. Quarterback Gunner Stockton has thrown 2,465 yards and 19 touchdowns, adding two rushing touchdowns. Running back Nate Drazier continues to lead the ground game with 701 rushing yards, and wide receiver Zachariah Branch has been a key player on offense with 638 receiving yards.

Georgia’s defense has been able to stop top offenses this season. Linbaker CJ Allen leads the team with 78 tackles, while cornerback Ellis Robinson IV leads the team with three interceptions.

Georgia Tech has had one of its top seasons in recent years, led by head coach Brent Key.  Quarterback Haynes King has played a huge role in the Yellow Jackets’ success with 2,516 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns. King leads the team in rushing yards with 883 and 6 rushing touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat ability. He’s relied heavily on receivers Eric Rivers and Isaiah Canion, while Malik Rutherford has contributed both as a receiver and in the rushing attack.

A riverly win would give Georgia Tech a 10-win season and snap Georgia’s seven-game streak, while Georgia aims to solidify its College Football Playoff position.
