The Florida Gators fell despite a massive effort in a tough encounter against the Georgia Bulldogs following a controversial call. The Gators were ahead early in the fourth quarter against a 6-1 Georgia side coming off a win against a ranked SEC rival, Ole Miss.
The Bulldogs now have two ranked wins and are 7-1 on the season following their victory over Florida. According to PFSN’s College Football Playoff Meter, they had a 71.9% chance of reaching the playoffs before today’s game. This makes interim head coach Billy Gonzales’s efforts extremely successful despite the loss.
Florida ‘Robbed’ by Controversial Call, According to Fans Following Georgia Loss
During the matchup against the Bulldogs, the Gators had a chance to take the lead in the fourth quarter. However, a call went against them, and fans of the program began to question the referees following the decision. This was one of many questionable SEC refereeing decisions today.

Florida was just robbed. That was 100% a catch. The college replay system is awful.

During the matchup against the Gators, the Bulldogs’ sophomore defensive back KJ Bolden was ejected from the game following a targeting call. However, many believed that it was completely farcical and nowhere near worth the ejection.
This wasn’t called targeting on Caleb Downs but KJ Bolden hits a player in the chest and gets ejected 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂

Been saying for a while that the SEC uses replay to rig games. You can’t deny it after that atrocity unless you are a homer. In a few years when they are investigated by a non biased entity everyone will say “what took so long to see the obvious “?

Today’s game may have given Florida a glint of hope in an otherwise difficult season. Coming off a victory against Mississippi State, the Gators are currently 3-4 on the season. They are also 2-2 within the SEC, with the interim head coach almost winning against a ranked opponent in his first game.
