Weigman projects for 266.1 points, Dampier for 263.6, Texas A&M’s Marcel Reed for 255.1. Seven quarterbacks clear 240. The practical read is that you can let three or four of them go and still walk away with a QB1, but only if you know where the tier actually breaks.

Best Values and One Name to Fade in 2026 College Fantasy Drafts
Conner Weigman, Houston (QB1). Weigman came back to Houston for a second year under Willie Fritz after throwing for 2,711 yards, rushing for 700 and accounting for 36 total touchdowns in a 10-3 season that ended with bowl MVP honors against LSU. His 83.6 QB Impact grade is tied for 14th in this top 30. He is QB1 anyway, because volume and a full 12 starts beat efficiency every time in this format.
Devon Dampier, Utah (QB2). Dampier is the rushing floor this format is built to reward. He ran for 835 yards and 10 touchdowns while throwing for 2,490 and 24 scores in 2025, leading all Big 12 quarterbacks in rushing, and he did most of it playing through a sports hernia that required offseason surgery. Utah has a new head coach and a new coordinator. None of that changes what his legs are worth on Saturdays.
Arch Manning, Texas (QB5). A 243.9-point season is a perfectly good QB5, and almost nobody is going to get Manning at QB5. He is the most expensive name here relative to what the projection actually says, and his 83.1 QB Impact grade is the quiet part of that argument. Let someone else pay the tax.
Colton Joseph, Wisconsin (QB17). The best swing on the board. Joseph ran for 1,007 yards and 13 touchdowns at Old Dominion last season, finished eighth nationally in total offense at 302.6 yards per game and won Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year. He falls to QB17 because Wisconsin has not solved quarterback play under Luke Fickell in three years. The Badgers built this offense around him. If it works even partially, this is a top-10 finish at his cost.
Julian Sayin, Ohio State (QB18). Sayin owns the second-highest QB Impact grade in the top 30 at 90.8 and projects 18th in points. That is not a contradiction, it is the whole lesson. He does not run, and Ohio State wins by enough that the fourth quarter rarely belongs to him. Sayin will be a top pick in the 2027 draft and a frustrating fantasy starter in the same season.
