Clemson 4 Star ‘Manchild’ Stuns Analyst at Elite 11 Finals

Clemson commit Tait Reynolds turned heads at Elite 11 with his size, athleticism, and raw potential, drawing praise from analysts and scouts alike.

Tait Reynolds, the 6 foot 4 quarterback from Queen Creek, Arizona, turned heads at the Elite 11 Finals when analyst Brett Kollmann called him a “manchild” despite not knowing his star rating.

If nothing else, the Clemson Tigers recruit was a game changer in terms of his looks and his use of unparalleled physical attraction to impress participants and attendees at the showcase. Reynolds’s active role in the elite quarterback show spoke volumes about his prospects, and the reasons for being a double-sport athlete in the twenty-sixth grade were so.

Clemson’s Tait Reynolds Defies High School Stereotype at Elite 11

Kollmann, creator of “All Thirty Two” and co-host of the “Bootleg Football Podcast,” made his observation without prior knowledge of recruit rankings. “I go into Elite 11 blind on purpose, so I don’t know the star ratings for these guys,” Kollmann explained.

His unbiased assessment of Reynolds proved telling: “Manchild. Most high school prospects look like kids, because they are. He looks like he could play Ohio State tomorrow”.

Reynolds’s physical measurements align with Kollmann’s evaluation. He is 6-foot-4 and 195 to 220 pounds, and his big body is quite mature for a junior in high school. Factoring in his athleticism, he shows that this size advantage is even more remarkable on the field.

The Queen Creek signal-caller was rightly named Arizona Offensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2024 when he posted a whopping 2,238 passing yards with 22 touchdowns and just five interceptions, along with an additional 1,426 rushing yards with 19 rushing touchdowns. These dual-threat numbers helped Queen Creek reach a 10-3 record and the 6A semifinals.

Reynolds’ athleticism isn’t only shown in football, but he is also a fantastic baseball prospect. Reynolds was initially committed to Arizona State before re-committing to Clemson for both sports.

247Sports National Recruiting Expert Greg Biggins praised Reynolds’ raw potential: “Reynolds is a big, strong multi sport athlete with some obvious upside to him.” He noted that Reynolds “looks more like a fullback than a quarterback when he’s running zone read or gets loose in the secondary.”

Although 247Sports currently ranks Reynolds as a three-star prospect, it is worth noting that both ESPN and Rivals have him as a four-star recruit. His inclusion in the Elite 11 Finals is a reward for being counted among the best 20 quarterbacks in the country and illustrious alumni like Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, and Bryce Young.

Reynolds confirmed his choice of Clemson University in the summer of 2024 after earning 28 scholarships from different schools. This was because the offensive coordinator, Garrett Riley, made him feel the most wanted. His physical presence and outstanding statistics are just among many factors that would have him see regular playing time from the word go.
