Curt Cignetti Receives Signature Dish After Natty Win

On Thursday, CBS Sports reporter Brandon Marcello revealed on X that the $51 billion-valued food chain Chipotle had created a signature dish to honor Cignetti after his unprecedented national championship win.

“Chipotle has introduced a new menu item online: The Coach Cignetti ‘I Win’ Bowl. It includes brown rice, chicken, black beans and a side of guac. This comes on the heels of a recent story that the Indiana coach eats the same Chipotle meal for lunch every day,” Marcello tweeted.

In addition, Cignetti will receive a VIP card that entitles them to free meals for a year.  Cignetti famously revealed that he has ordered the same Chipotle Burrito bowl for lunch every day since he was appointed the Indiana head coach and has accumulated 64,000 reward points (worth $6,400) before they expired.

Cignetti’s Popularity Nets Him Free Beer

Not only is the Indiana coach receiving a signature Chipotle meal item after winning the national championship, but the freebies have also kept rolling in. On Tuesday, he also received a lifetime supply of free beer from Bloomington-based brewery Upland Brewing.

The brewery company is a partner of Indiana University Athletics, and Cignetti has repeatedly detailed his intention to relax with a beer after games. This fact didn’t go unnoticed by the brewers.

“Coach Cignetti and his staff have ignited IU Football and brought so much joy and energy to Bloomington and the state of Indiana,” the company’s statement read. “We are excited to continue providing beer for the Hoosiers as they celebrate the national championship, and we will be sending plenty of Hoosier Gameday Lager their way.

“We are also announcing a lifetime supply of Upland beer for Coach Cig as a thank you for the postgame comments. That was pretty unreal to watch in real time.”

Cignetti has reaped the rewards of his unique personality. After winning the title on Monday, whenever anyone Googles his name, a clever play on his famous quip pops up, stating “Yup, he won,” cementing his place as one of college football’s icons.
