The 2026 NFL Combine is here, which will offer invited participants the chance to participate in on-field workouts to shape up their draft outlook. Besides drills and timed tests, players will continue what amounts to extended job interviews with NFL franchises.
2026 NFL Combine Schedule
The 2026 NFL Combine will run from Feb. 23 through March 2, 2026, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The stadium has hosted the event annually since 2008 and will continue serving as the venue through 2028.
After the on-field workouts end on March 1, teams will have a little more than seven weeks to finalize evaluations before the draft begins April 23 in Pittsburgh. The combine is arranged by position groups, with each group following a detailed four-day schedule that includes orientation, medical evaluations, media responsibilities, and, at the end, on-field testing.
Texas A&M leads all schools with 13 invitees in this year’s event. The Southeastern Conference has the largest representation among conferences, with 115 players invited to participate.
Media Availability Sessions
Media sessions take place at the Indiana Convention Center, where general managers and head coaches typically address reporters at the start of the week. Players meet with the media one day before their scheduled on-field workouts.
- Feb. 24 (Tuesday): General Managers and Head Coaches
- Feb. 25 (Wednesday): General Managers and Head Coaches; Defensive Line, Linebackers, Placekickers
- Feb. 26 (Thursday): Defensive Backs, Tight Ends
- Feb. 27 (Friday): Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs
- Feb. 28 (Saturday): Offensive Line
40-Yard Dash and Workout Drills
On-field drills are set for Feb. 26 through March, with coverage airing on NFL Network. Prospects complete a series of standardized tests designed to highlight athletic ability, headlined by the 40-yard dash, which is the signature event for evaluating straight-line speed. Additional drills include the bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill, and position-specific exercises.
The schedule includes:
- Feb. 26 (Thursday) – 3 p.m. ET | Defensive Linemen, Linebackers, Placekickers
- Feb. 27 (Friday) – 3 p.m. ET | Defensive Backs, Tight Ends
- Feb. 28 (Saturday) – 1 p.m. ET | Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs
- March 1 (Sunday) – 1 p.m. ET | Offensive Linemen
Some top prospects choose not to participate in position drills. For instance, the PFSN’s CFB QB Impact Metric’s second-ranked quarterback and projected No. 1 overall selection, Fernando Mendoza, plans to sit out those drills this year. However, the combine often serves as a valuable platform for underdog prospects, who aim to enhance their standing with NFL teams.
Fans can watch the NFL Combine live on NFL Network, and it will also be available for streaming via the NFL+ app and FuboTV. Meanwhile, fans can attend public sessions free of charge by registering through the NFL OnePass app.
