On Tuesday afternoon, a post went viral showing Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb catching passes from a jugs machine with a net over his face, with a caption calling out Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys stadium has had a lighting issue with sun glare coming in through the windows for the last few years, and the post went viral.
Now everyone is wondering: Was the quote from Lamb real or fake?

The post came from Chat Sports host Jeremy Beadling, who covers multiple professional sports teams in Texas.
“I gotta practice catching without seeing the ball. My owner refuses to fix the issue with the sunlight coming into the stadium so I gotta adapt,” the post read, with the quote seemingly attributed to Lamb.

Many wondered if the quote was real or fake, especially because some players have made public comments about the sunlight issue at the stadium in the past, including Lamb.
The Cowboys star lost the ball in the sun during a game in 2024 and afterward said he was in favor of blackout curtains to make it easier to see. Fellow Cowboys receiver George Pickens has also said that the sun has blinded him and made it difficult to track passes in the stadium.
There have also been former players and coaches who have made public comments regarding the issue.

Tom Brady said on a Fox broadcast that the quarterback has to stare right into the sun at certain points during the game.
Jason Garrett, a former Cowboys coach and now broadcast analyst, has talked about the glare in the west-facing end zone during afternoon games.
This isn’t a new issue by any means, but any time Jones has been asked about it, he’s dismissed the sun-related issues.
However, despite all that, the quote attributed to Lamb is fake.

The viral post was clearly a joke, but some people seemed to believe it was real. Publicly complaining about the sunlight issue at the Cowboys stadium is one thing, but it would be an entirely different story if a player actually called out the owner for not doing anything about it.
