Explaining the Cardi B and Stefon Diggs Breakup Rumors

Fans noticed shortly after the Super Bowl that Diggs and Cardi B were no longer following each other on social media. After that, a media outlet posted the following to social media about the relationship status of the two:

“Cardi B and Stefon Diggs broke up in the middle of the Super Bowl. She reportedly left early after spending $1.2 million on a Super Bowl after-party that neither of them attended. Diggs’ other baby mother had front-row tickets with her son. Cardi allegedly found out, and things went south. Both Cardi B and Diggs have unfollowed each other, Diggs also lost the Super Bowl.”

It’s important to note that this is all just speculation, and it isn’t known for certain whether the two broke up. However, it is confirmed that the two no longer follow each other on Instagram.

Also, Cardi B reportedly left shortly after her cameo in Bad Bunny’s halftime performance, while also missing an after-party that cost just north of a million dollars.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Diggs was a source of drama during the NFL season. In early January, it was reported that the wide receiver would be facing a felony charge for strangulation or suffocation and a misdemeanor assault and battery charge related to an incident with his personal chef.

This was Diggs’ first season with the Patriots after spending last season with the Houston Texans. This season, he caught 85 receptions from Drake Maye for 1013 receiving yards and four touchdowns. In PFSN’s NFL Wide Receiver Impact Metric, he ranked as the fourth-best receiver in football with an impact score of 87.0 and a letter grade of B+.

Despite being one of the best wide receivers in the regular season, he played a minuscule role in the postseason. Diggs only caught 14 receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown in four playoff games.
