Since training camp began, Travis Kelce has been a highlight for the Kansas City Chiefs. After a woefully disappointing year, the hope is that the team can get back on track. But they are going to need the legendary tight end at his best.
So far, through practice, he has proven to be up for the challenge, with one particular clip where he comfortably beats his defender, going viral on social media. Unfortunately, his brother, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce, isn’t a fan of the video.
Jason Kelce Isn’t a Fan of the Travis Kelce Clip
It has been a whirlwind 12 months for Travis Kelce. After many assumed that the 2025 NFL season would be his final year, he decided to go forward for at least one more year. Then, a few months later, he officially tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Over the last month, though, his highlights from the practice field have been constantly making the rounds. One particular video, where, after running a relatively slow route, he leaves his defender way behind with a juke, has been shared all across social media.
But his brother isn’t a fan. On the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which they host together, the legendary center laid into teams who constantly post clips from practice on the internet.
“I liked watching this because you’re my brother and I thought it was great. I cannot stand when teams put these clips online. The Eagles do it too. And I love the Philadelphia Eagles. And I love watching the clips, but they put out a clip of Jalen Carter beating the [expletive] out of a guy who’s trying his hardest to make the team. It’s like, dude, can we just let practice be its own thing? We don’t need to show everything.”

Continuing on that trajectory, he believed it would take away from the sanctity of the practice and what it represents for the former Super Bowl champion.
He argued, “If there’s one safe space that a guy should feel good about, like, ‘Hey, I’m going to try this new thing and it might not work out, but I’m going to try it in practice because it’s not a game.”
While they certainly have their issues, clips from the practice field can also work in the other direction. The Chiefs are seeing that this summer, with rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen becoming a major name throughout the fan base.

For a team that made a frenzy of moves this summer, the one area they didn’t address in a big way was the passing attack. However, through clips on social media, the Chiefs faithful have tied their wagon to the fifth-round pick.
It remains to be seen if he turns out to be as good as advertised. But aside from his emergence, Kelce is once again going to play a big role in the passing game. Last year, even at 36, he put together 851 yards and 5 touchdowns, ranking at number five on PFN’s Tight End Impact Metrics.
And, even if Jason might be against the idea of teams spreading the clips online, the effectiveness of his brother in that video was hard to ignore. If he can continue that level of production, then it might not take long for the Chiefs to become a threat in the AFC again.
