‘Ain’t Sh** To Do Here’ — Top Prospects Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty Rip Green Bay As It Hosts 2025 NFL Draft

Top draft prospects Cam Ward and Ashton Jeanty are in agreement: There's nothing to do in Green Bay, home of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Top draft prospects Cam Ward and Ashton Jeanty just arrived in Green Bay, Wis., and they’re already bored. Both players are among the 17 invited prospects attending the 2025 NFL Draft in person and have arrived in town within the last 24 hours.

Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty Roast Green Bay Ahead of NFL’s Big Night

Ward spoke to reporters while walking around downtown Green Bay and didn’t hold back when asked about what the city has to offer.

“Ain’t nothin’ to do here but get drafted. So, we gonna get drafted.”

He made it clear he doesn’t plan to stick around long. When asked for advice for fans attending the draft, Ward kept it blunt.

“If I had some advice for y’all, bring your jackets to Green Bay. “It ain’t sh** to do here, and it’s cold as sh** too, so I’m out.””

Ward’s raw honesty might not have earned him a Green Bay tourism endorsement anytime soon, but his confidence about where he’s headed in the NFL was front and center. He hinted that his next stop might be one of two major markets.

“Most of y’all know where we finna be at. Probably Nashville. Probably New York. So, we gonna see.”

The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick, while the New York Giants pick third. Ward, who spent his final college season at Miami after transferring from Washington State, is widely expected to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board and is a top contender to go first overall.

Meanwhile, Jeanty—the record-breaking running back from Boise State—arrived earlier in the day and spoke with reporters near Lambeau Field, the iconic home of the Green Bay Packers and the site of this year’s draft festivities. Like Ward, Jeanty wasn’t exactly thrilled with the city’s entertainment scene.

“Calm place, not much to do here.”

Still, Jeanty gave credit where it was due. He called Lambeau a “nice big football stadium,” tipping his cap to its legacy. Lambeau is the second-oldest stadium still in use in the NFL, behind Soldier Field in Chicago. Its 81,441-seat capacity is also the league’s second largest, only trailing MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Ward and Jeanty will be on-site tonight, hoping to hear their names called early. Ward is the presumed No. 1 overall pick and is expected to land with the Titans. Jeanty, who racked up over 1,500 rushing yards last season, is regarded as the top back in this year’s class and is projected to go inside the top 10.

In addition to Ward and Jeanty, 15 other top draft prospects will be at the draft, which is being held at the newly constructed Draft Theater outside Lambeau Field. Among the other high-profile names in attendance: Quarterback Jalen Milroe, edge rusher Abdul Carter, and two-way phenom Travis Hunter. All eyes will be on Green Bay as the NFL’s next generation takes the stage.
