Cam Newton did not need much time to find the funny side of a convoluted narrative taking place in Dallas this summer, particularly involving two teammates on the Dallas Cowboys.
Cam Newton Jokes About What Could Happen When CeeDee Lamb and Von Miller Share the Field
In a recent segment on “4th&1 With Cam Newton,” Newton and co-host Peggy discussed reports involving Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and Megan Denise, the former fiancée of the wideout’s new Dallas teammate Von Miller and the mother of his children.
Some reports claimed Lamb and Denise were together at a Dallas nightclub, with the two apparently holding hands. The attention that followed has less to do with Lamb’s dating life than with the unusual connection between the people involved.
Miller recently signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Cowboys, joining the same locker room as Lamb. Miller, a veteran pass rusher, was brought in to provide experience and depth to Dallas’ defense. That made the reports impossible to separate from football.

Newton, naturally, went there.
“We ain’t talking about just no baby mama,” Newton said. “We talking about a three-time baby mama. Oh, we ain’t just talking about no regular baby mama, we talking about a former fiancée.”
Newton’s comments were delivered with the humor and exaggeration that have become part of his podcast persona, but the situation he was discussing is unusual by any measure. Two prominent Cowboys players now occupy the same locker room while reports about a personal relationship involving Miller’s formal fiancee are going around.
Newton also cited an earlier report alleging that Miller had confronted Lamb at a club.
“There was a report a couple of weeks ago that said Von Miller ran CeeDee Lamb out of the club,” Newton said. “That’s what the report said… Well, we got nothing but time. Woo! Boy, them team drills gonna be a little interesting.”
The account of the aforementioned report has circulated online, but the details have not been independently confirmed.

Newton knows Miller better than most people outside the Cowboys’ current locker room. The two came to the NFL together in 2011 as the first two selections in the draft.
Newton went No. 1 overall to Carolina. Miller followed at No. 2 to Denver. Their careers intersected in Super Bowl 50, where Miller and the Broncos defeated Newton and the Panthers 24-10. Miller was named Super Bowl MVP in one of the defining games of his career, and a painful one for Newton, who brought up that history.
“Let’s just say, brother CeeDee better not catch too many slants,” Newton added. “You understand? Cause it’s gonna be it’s gonna be a lot of it. Trust me. I know what Von Miller can do. Oh, Lord Jesus! If it weren’t for Von, I probably would have my ring finger covered.”
Nevertheless, Lamb is Dallas’ valuable offensive player and an important part of Dak Prescott’s passing game. Whereas Miller’s role is different. At this stage of his career, the pass rusher is expected to bring veteran experience, leadership, and situational pass-rushing ability to the Cowboys’ defense.
For now, there is no evidence that the reports have affected the Cowboys’ preparations.
