Tennessee Titans star wide receiver Calvin Ridley was forced to the sidelines on Sunday afternoon in the team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Ridley is one of those receivers that rookie quarterback Cam Ward counts on when looking downfield.
What’s Happened to Titans’ Calvin Ridley?
Apparently, Ridley suffered a hamstring injury and was relegated to the sidelines in Sunday’s game. Ridley has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s game.
As the Raiders took a 10-0 halftime lead, Ridley only had one reception for 18 yards. His one catch was the second-longest on Sunday among Titans receivers, only getting beat by teammate Van Jefferson’s 20-yard grab.

Ward, the highly-touted overall No. 1 draft choice in the 2025 NFL Draft, threw an interception as the Titans-Raiders game reached halftime. He needs to have receivers like Ridley downfield to make the Titans’ offense hum. Without Ridley on the field, that’s going to put pressure on Jefferson and other Titans receivers to pick up the slack.
According to the PFSN Offense Impact metrics, the Titans have a 53.5 Offense Impact Score and grade out at a D. Tennessee is at the bottom of all 32 teams in the metrics, which is not good. Titans head coach Brian Callahan must see some improvement in his offense as the season rolls along, or his job might be in jeopardy.
Fantasy Football Outlook for Ridley
Ridley has had a rough start to the season, failing to reach double-digit fantasy points in all but one game. Fantasy managers were already growing frustrated with his lack of production and the overall struggles of the Titans’ offense. Now, Ridley isn’t even playing.
The Titans do not have much in the way of depth at pass catcher. Ridley’s departure elevates rookie Elic Ayomanor to the WR1 role, but he hasn’t caught more than four passes in a game all season. If not for two touchdowns, he wouldn’t have reached double-digits in any game.
Even so, Ayomanor will be a worthwhile waiver wire pickup pending Ridley’s status. Someone has to catch passes for Cam Ward. It certainly won’t be Tyler Lockett or Chimere Dike. Perhaps Chig Okonkwo will finally see a bump, but it feels like if that wasn’t going to happen, it would have already.
