With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers losing 23-20 on the road against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, fans and NFL onlookers were not shy about their thoughts regarding head coach Todd Bowles.
The Buccaneers have been slipping lately, and some of the head coach’s decisions have left several people really frustrated.
What Are NFL Fans Saying About Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles?
That loss on Sunday put the Panthers in first place all alone in the NFC South Division. The Buccaneers fell to 7-8, and according to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, now only have a 39.20% chance of winning the division.
After watching what unfolded on Sunday, PFSN Analyst Jason Katz points out that Bowles has just lost the game, the division, and the season with the defeat.

Why? Katz points out that it’s almost as if getting all of his players back healthy has infected Bowles with a case of choice paralysis — every decision he… pic.twitter.com/pNNRnNkkTV

Barstool Sports’ Steven Cheah watched what went down, too, and he was just flabbergasted by the Buccaneers’ performance. “This team is broken,” Chea said. “I’m finally there. Todd Bowles has got to go.”

Another user, who calls himself a Tampa Bay Buccaneers Addict, wrote on X, “SCARED play calling on Offense SCARED play calling on Defense ABYSMAL Special Teams FIRE TODD BOWLES”.

Content creator TrentTJ3Mexican was not happy, either, and wrote, “Fire Todd Bowles for his lack of red-zone usage with Bucky Irving”. Lucas Wiseman, director of live content for FloSports, also shared his thoughts: “Even if the Bucs somehow make the playoffs they are going to get crushed in the first round. Rip off the Band-Aid and fire Todd Bowles now.”
Bowles has had previous head coaching stops with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. Watching the Buccaneers, behind quarterback Baker Mayfield, struggle as the season has rolled along just isn’t sitting well with fans at all.
It’s not clear if Tampa Bay will make a head coaching change after this season. Yet, if the franchise chose to do so, those disgruntled fans would probably pop some champagne bottles over the news.
The Buccaneers need to change their course and win out. That might save Bowles’ job, but time will tell if that matters at all.

Wish Bowles would expletive himself
Never been a fan of coaches that pile on players that are playing hard. This team plays hard but the captain of the ship is steering in circle as if in the Bermuda Triangle
