Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has gone from living in the rural Central Valley of California to enjoying a beach sunrise and sunset in Orange County in his newly purchased mansion. His purchase has further fueled speculation about his rumored relationship with actress Hailee Steinfeld, which may be on the rocks.
Josh Allen Is Now an Orange County Resident
The perennial Pro Bowl quarterback is now a part-time resident of Dana Point, California — a renowned beach community in Southern California.
Dana Point, with a population of more than 32,000, is known for its pristine beach views and access to fine dining, whale-watching cruises, and hiking trails. According to Sotheby’s International Realty (h/t Mansion Global), Allen purchased his new mansion for $7.2 million.
Features of the mansion include:
- 2,808 square-foot adobe.
- Floor-to-ceiling windows.
- A room with a grand piano leads into the backyard.
- Four bedrooms and a hot tub.
- Lastly, the property is located in a gated community near famed Monarch Beach, which has been home to Sam Darnold of the San Francisco 49ers and former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Josh Allen grew up on his family’s farm in rural California.
Now, he plans to grow 1,000 acres of pistachios and turn it into a profitable business.

But again, Allen’s new purchase fuels further speculation of his relationship with the co-star of Marvel Studio’s hit streaming TV series on Disney+ “Hawkeye” and the summer 2023 blockbuster from Sony Pictures “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”
Mansion Is Close to Hailee Steinfeld’s L.A. Home
One Bills fan pointed out that Allen’s new purchase is in close proximity to the actress — two hours away driving distance, to be exact.
The two have been rumored to be in a relationship after Allen broke up with his longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams — who Allen had dated since 2017 before his Bills career really took off.

Reports of Allen and Steinfeld surfaced as early as May 2023 as both were spotted eating sushi together in New York City. Now, Allen’s home purchase in the O.C. adds to the speculation that the move is to be closer to the famed actress during the offseason.
However, one Reddit user claimed that Allen had been looking for a place in Orange County even before meeting Steinfeld, saying, “he would actually be seen a lot here during the offseason the past couple of years.”
The home is also only four hours away from where he was born and raised. The Buffalo Bills QB may have wanted to live close to home and still have an oasis on the beach.
Hopefully, Allen’s house has a return policy because there may be trouble in paradise. The Bills quarterback keeps his cards close to his chest, not publicly referring to Steinfeld as his girlfriend, although he won’t disagree if someone else does.
In the Pardon My Take Podcast, the quarterback dishes on his difficulty navigating his personal life and fame. It “blows his mind” that people are interested in seeing the couple share private moments. He says the media’s over-the-top attention has him feeling “gross” and “insecure.”

A Life & Style source recently reported that Allen is continuing to struggle with the attention that comes with being a public figure and dating someone famous.
“Anytime people recognize them and want to take pictures, he gets tense, and it spoils the mood. It’s not like they’re fighting over it, but it puts pressure on things. She really likes him, but if he can’t get used to the attention, it’s not going to last.”
Allen has been building his home in New York since 2022, recently showing off his two-story basement with a golf simulator, open ceiling, and bar. He clearly hasn’t put all his eggs in the basket of his California mansion.
