Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Sends Bold Message Ahead of First NFL Start

In Week 12, the Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders is set to make his first start in the NFL, and he hopes to improve from the last game.

Last week, against the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns starting QB Dillon Gabriel went down with an injury late in the second quarter. After this, Gabriel was ruled out, and fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders came in for his first snaps of his career.

In Week 12, Sanders is set to make his first start in the NFL, and he hopes to improve from the last game.

Shedeur Sanders Speaks on the Last Game and His Belief for the Future

Sanders’ performance was not good, and he looked unprepared, which made sense given the lack of practice with the starters and his non-starter status from the beginning.

Still, a performance like that was one to forget, but that may not happen, and Sanders addressed this on ‘92.3 The Fan‘, “After the game, it was truly tough. There’s some scars I don’t know how to get rid of.”

Against the Ravens, Sanders was 4/16, had 47 passing yards, and threw one interception. Nowhere near good enough of a performance, but as Sanders said, he knows this, and although he does not have an answer to get over it right now, he needs to.

Sanders speaks on his belief that he can be one of the greatest, “I want to be the best, I want to be one of the greatest. So I know it’s going to take time, but I don’t want too many bumps in the road from me not playing how I know I could be.”

Sanders’ confidence is impressive, and the more he believes he can achieve, the greater the chance it will happen, but time will tell whether it actually does. In reality, it may not take long for the NFL World to know if this “greatness” is a possibility.

The Browns Travel to Las Vegas in Week 12

As mentioned before, Sanders will be getting his first start in the NFL, and the good news for him is that the team he faces has had a bad season.

According to PFSN’s Defensive Impact Metric, the Las Vegas Raiders are the 26th-ranked defense on the season in defensive impact and are 26th in sack %.

This is the chance for Sanders to show why he could be an NFL starting QB, but if he has a performance like he did against the Ravens, the opposite can also happen.
