The Cleveland Browns (3-8) are far from title contention.
Despite a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12, the Browns still have plenty of holes in their roster to address. One of the few bright spots in the organization is superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett, who is on pace to break the single-season sack record. He tallied three sacks against the Raiders.
Instead of Garrett continuing to waste his prime in Cleveland, some believe a blockbuster trade could be in store this offseason.
Patriots Predicted To Trade for Myles Garrett
The New England Patriots (10-2) are dominating in the AFC. No one expected this level of success from the Patriots this season, but first-year head coach Mike Vrabel and sophomore quarterback Drake Maye are blowing the public’s expectations out of the water.
With Maye on his rookie contract, now is the time for New England’s front office to construct a Super Bowl-caliber roster. Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay predicts the Patriots could make a blockbuster trade for Garrett this offseason, sending a 2026 first-round pick, a 2026 third-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and a 2027 third-round pick to the Browns.
“While New England is set to snap a three-season playoff drought, there’s still some improvements that could push the organization to perennial Super Bowl contender status,” Kay wrote. “One of New England’s more glaring issues this year has been an inability to limit opposing quarterbacks.”
The Patriots’ defense ranks No. 12 in PFSN’s metrics with an impact score of 78.7, so it’s clear there is room for improvement. New England’s defense has recorded 25 sacks this season.
Kay continued, “It helps that the Patriots are well-positioned to splurge during the upcoming offseason. They dumped some salary and added more draft capital at the deadline, giving the club more flexibility to swing a big trade.”
“It may take four Day 1 and 2 picks—which are set to fall near the end of the round—spread across the next two drafts to get the job done, but Garrett would have a transformational effect on New England’s defense and a real opportunity to win a ring,” Kay concluded.
Adding Garrett to a team that is unexpectedly thriving this year would create a matchup nightmare for opponents for the 2026 season and beyond.
