The Cleveland Browns have one of the strangest quarterback rooms in recent memory. They have two rookies, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, and a former star in Deshaun Watson, who is earning a ton of money. They began the year with veteran Joe Flacco as their starter, but he was recently traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. The bottom line is that this situation isn’t sustainable in the long run.
Given that Sanders is by far the most popular and watched QB2 in the NFL, it’s plausible to believe Cleveland could trade him to rid itself of that attention if it views Gabriel as their future under center and if Watson is soon healthy enough to be the team’s backup.
Could the New Orleans Saints Make a Trade for Shedeur Sanders?
Few teams are more desperate for a complete reset than the New Orleans Saints. After losing to the New England Patriots in Week 6, the Saints have a record of 1-5. It’s clear Spencer Rattler is not the answer at QB, which could pave the way for the organization to give Sanders a shot. Newsweek’s Evan Massey predicts the Saints could trade for him in the coming weeks.
“There are only a few that would make sense. One of those teams happens to be the New Orleans Saints,” Massey wrote.
“…A chance to acquire another young quarterback could be appealing to them. A team can never have too much young talent at the position when it’s trying to find a long-term option. Making a trade for Sanders would make sense for New Orleans, especially if the team could get him for a fifth or sixth-round pick,” Massey concluded.

It’s a rather low-risk trade for the Saints on the field. Some analysts had Sanders going as high as the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, so clearly there’s a chance he pans out as a starting QB. Not to mention, Rattler entered Week 6 with a 69.3 grade in PFSN’s QB Impact metric, which ranked 30th in the NFL and is underwhelming to say the least.

Sanders does come with quite a few risks off the field, however. He is a huge personality with a massive following, which has caused him to go viral quite a few times for what people have deemed as immature and unprofessional reasons. New Orleans has virtually nothing going for it now, so maybe it will view all publicity as ‘good publicity.’
The worst-case scenario is that Sanders fails on and off the field, leaving the Saints to cut him and refocus on their original plan of landing a top pick in next year’s draft.

Trade for what I love him but Rattler is not the problem these overhyped playmakers Olave and Johnson not making plays for their young qb shaheed and Valdez would have been just fine get what you can get for those two and keep building
Too much speculations and predictions, just let the games playout as Shedeur Sanders grow as a NFL quarterback. His time will come to “prove his talent”! From a mom who has r as used 7 successful children!! A Good coach, good training, a belief systemand acceptance is a motivating factor in a player becoming a great player to display his talent. One must lift up not tare down players.
The problem is that the coach is a racist so if he had no one to replace injured players he would pull out of his ratty hat a white player. I am not black so I can see what a racist the coach is.
You media guys are a joke! There isn’t a trade brewing for Shedeur.
who wrote this? shedeur’s friend?
