‘They All Gotta Go’ — Browns Analyst Blames Andrew Berry, Kevin Stefanski for Shedeur Sanders’ Poor Performance

Browns analyst unloads on Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski, blaming leadership failures for Shedeur Sanders’ rough showing.

Another disappointing season has arrived for the Cleveland Browns, a situation that has become all too commonplace for the franchise. While the reasons for their struggles are numerous, the front office stands out as a primary culprit. Despite opportunities to improve the roster through the draft or free agency, the organization consistently fails to add the right players.

Poor quarterback play remains a key factor keeping the Browns at the bottom of the NFL’s standings, but the blame for this season’s struggles extends to multiple individuals.

Who Should Be Held Accountable for the Browns’ Struggles?

The failures of the 2025 season can be attributed to both the front office and the coaching staff. General manager Andrew Berry faces criticism for the roster he assembled, which isn’t good enough to compete.

While Berry deserves a large majority of the blame, head coach Kevin Stefanski could also do more with the personnel at his disposal. His team isn’t playing at its best, a direct reflection of the head coach’s job.

According to 92.3 The Fan, Daryl Ruiter said, “Andrew Berry is the one who saddled them with this. Andrew Berry traded for Jerry Jeudy and didn’t invest in the OL… Blow everyone out. They all gotta go.”

A fresh start in 2026 may be the best path forward. The roster needs rebuilding, and tasking a different GM with that challenge would be a smart move. Success in the upcoming draft class is crucial, as it remains the most effective way to improve an NFL team.

Stefanski is now in his sixth year as head coach, holding a 43-55 record. His tenure includes two playoff appearances and one postseason win in 2020. However, the current situation is dire: the team has only three wins this season after finishing with three wins last year. Back-to-back three-win campaigns usually result in a coaching change.

Adding to the concerns, his offense has performed poorly this season, according to PFSN’s Offense Impact Rating. Their 52.1 rating is by far the worst in the league.

For the remainder of the season, the primary focus is on developing quarterback Shedeur Sanders. He has started only four games this season and has experienced many ups and downs. His most recent outing was abysmal, as he threw for 177 yards with three interceptions.

It remains to be seen whether the Browns view Sanders as their franchise quarterback. However, if they decide to move on from Stefanski, hiring a new coach with a history of developing quarterbacks would be a wise decision.
