The Denver Broncos are positioned as a potential trade destination for Minnesota Vikings receiver Jordan Addison before the Nov. 5 deadline, according to Pro Football Network analyst Ayden Stroupe.
Broncos Predicted To Trade for Standout Vikings Receiver
Courtland Sutton leads the Broncos’ receiving room with 37 receptions for 536 yards and three touchdowns, ranking 21st in PFSN’s WR Impact metric. Second-year wideout Troy Franklin follows with 33 catches for 358 yards and four touchdowns.
However, the third receiver option, Marvin Mims Jr., has been inconsistent and is currently undergoing concussion protocol. As a result, PFSN’s Ayden Stroupe believes Denver could look to Minnesota and pursue Vikings receiver Jordan Addison ahead of the trade deadline.
“Addison would immediately transform the unit,” Stroupe wrote. “The Broncos lack a dominant slot presence with Marvin Mims Jr. currently as the starter, and Addison would take over that role ideally. Pairing him with Courtland Sutton would give Denver a versatile, threatening duo that could challenge the league’s best secondaries.
“The receiving corps, as it stands, is underwhelming. Sutton is not quite suited to be the lone premier weapon on a contending team, and Troy Franklin is ideally a WR3. Addison would immediately flip both of those issues on their head. His ability to win inside would take pressure off Sutton on the perimeter and push Franklin down to the third option.”
Addison is one of the league’s most naturally gifted young receivers and is still just 23 years old. Drafted 23rd overall by the Vikings in 2023, he posted 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in an impressive rookie season.
Through 15 games last year, he recorded 63 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. While injuries have derailed portions of his 2025 campaign, Addison has still produced 21 receptions for 309 yards and two touchdowns through four games, ranking 13th in PFSN’s WR Impact metric.
At 3–4 and sitting at the bottom of the NFC North, Minnesota’s outlook has darkened with injuries to both J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz. That uncertainty has fueled speculation that the Vikings could consider moving Addison. With Justin Jefferson firmly established as the WR1, the 23-year-old may also be motivated to seek a larger role elsewhere.
In Denver, however, Addison has the skill set to eventually surpass Sutton and develop into a long-term cornerstone of Sean Payton’s offense.
