ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the first blockbuster of the day, one that sees Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers heading to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In a shocking move, the Jaguars felt they had no choice but to improve at the wide receiver position after Travis Hunter went on IR. Now, after just playing against them two days ago, Meyers is officially on the Jags.
Fans React to Jaguars Trade For Jakobi Meyers
Plenty of the teams were in the mix for Meyers, but the Raiders decided to make a move with the team that defeated them in overtime. Head coach Pete Carroll is still questioning his move to go for two, a move that may have sealed Meyer’s fate. While he was a hot topic regardless, the Jags were able to land him for a fourth and sixth-round pick.
Brian Thomas is about to be traded

The move was a surprise, as the Pittsburgh Steelers or New England Patriots were more commonly discussed as landing spots for Meyers. Now, NFL fans are wondering if this could signal that a Brian Thomas Jr. trade could be coming next, given the recent rumors swirling about the sophomore wideout.
“Brian Thomas is about to be traded,” one fan speculated. Thomas, who’s only been with Jacksonville for two years, is the team’s leading receiver. The 5-3 Jaguars now have a dynamic duo with Meyers and Thomas, should they choose to keep them both.
Another fan chimed in, “BTJ on the move?” with the eyeball emojis. There’s no telling as to whether or not the team is going to move on from their 23-year-old wideout, though giving up two picks for Meyers is quite a steep price. Insiders had recently reported that Jacksonville was listening to offers for Thomas, which is why fans are speculating that a BTJ move could be coming next.

“Welp, BTJ will never bounce back now,” someone said with the laughing emoji. Thomas, who was set for a massive role now that Hunter is on the IR, now has to split targets with a proven receiver.
Another individual questioned, “What is going on with BTJ then??”

“Wow. Brian Thomas is already not good?” one fan asked. “Sounds like jaguars have a front office problem,” they added. Currently two wins over .500, it would be quite an insane turn of events if the team added a receiver only to trade their young superstar on the same day.
One fan gave a potential destination for Thomas, “If Brian Thomas Jr. is available, the Giants should be all in on getting the deal done.”
That could be a huge move for a team that just lost running back Cam Skattebo and previously lost Malik Nabers — two key players who are focal points of quarterback Jaxson Dart’s offense.
Currently, Meyers has a C in PFSN’s WR Impact Metric while Thomas Jr. sits at a D-. The difference in grades is huge, though it would be a rash decision for the Jaguars to already give up on someone as talented as Thomas.
