Is Brian Robinson Jr. Playing in Week 10?

Brian Robinson Jr. was seemingly a go in Week 9 after being limited with a hamstring injury all week. However, pregame warmups did not go well, and Robinson was made inactive for the Washington Commanders’ win over the Giants.

Week 10 was a downgrade for Robinson. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday but didn’t participate on Friday before officially being ruled out. Going from a game-time decision last week to being ruled out on Friday this week isn’t a good sign for Robinson’s recovery.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said the club was “really going to push it” with Robinson this week. However, it’s essential to consider that Washington has a short turnaround to a Week 11 Thursday night game in Philadelphia. That might have convinced the Commanders to save him for the more important game to decide first place in the NFC East.

Without Robinson, Washington had a three-headed committee in its backfield of Austin Ekeler (28 snaps), Jeremy McNichols (23), and Chris Rodriguez Jr. (20). Rodriguez is out of practice-squad elevations, so the Commanders will have to sign him to their active roster if they want him to play on Sunday.

We’ll continue to monitor the Commanders’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.

    Brian Robinson Jr.’s Fantasy Outlook

A nagging hamstring injury cost Brian Robinson Jr. Week 9 after he wasn’t comfortable enough to suit up following pregame warmups. It was his second missed game of the season and the ninth of his young career.

We’ve seen hamstring injuries hinder the production of fantasy assets across the league this season, which makes this a situation to monitor carefully.

Robinson has been productive enough to be considered a lineup staple (six top-25 finishes at the position this season) with volume (15+ touches in five of six healthy games, with the lone exception being a 33-point blowout of the Panthers, a game script that is unlikely to take place this week) driving the bus.

PFN Insight on the Steelers’ Defense

There is an intriguing correlation between the Pittsburgh Steelers defense’s performances and their victories this year. In every game that they have ranked in the top half of the league that week, they have won. Whenever they have posted a grade below a C- on defense, they have lost. That also coincides with the points they have allowed, as both games in which they’ve allowed 20+ points have resulted in losses.

The Steelers’ offense has played its part in several games, but the defense has been very good in several games. Their concern as their schedule gets harder will be not being able to get consistent pressure without blitzing, as they rank 17th in pressure rate. That has shown up some in their stats against the pass, their ability to get sacks, and their ability to prevent third-down conversions.

The Steelers’ defense has started well, but they have a tough schedule coming up against some good offenses. We have yet to see them fully tested this year, and that will be an interesting element in the second half of the season.

    Pittsburgh Steelers

Team: After this game, Pittsburgh has four straight games against divisional opponents, including both Cleveland games.
