The Buffalo Bills are coming off a thrilling game against the Houston Texans, one where they fell short. Having dropped two of their last three, the last thing quarterback Josh Allen wanted to hear was a less-than-promising update to his offensive line.
After the Texans got to him eight times on November 20, he had a few extra days of rest, but it still wasn’t enough for a key player.
Buffalo Bills Rule Out Four-Time Pro-Bowler Dion Dawkins
Not only will Allen be without Dion Dawkins, but Cameron Wolfe has also reported that he will be without Spencer Brown as well. With both of Buffalo’s offensive tackles out due to injury, one can only imagine the type of time Allen is going to have before needing to escape the pocket.
Sure, the Texans’ defensive line is one of the best in the country, but it’s not like the Bills have an easy game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Sitting at 7-4, the Bills’ hopes of making the playoffs are still plenty alive. They are in a much better position than a team like the Kansas City Chiefs, whom they beat at the start of the month, but would love to win out, as their chances of winning the division are still uncertain.
Currently, the New England Patriots are well on their way to an AFC East title with their 10-2 record.
Bills have now ruled OUT both of their starting OTs Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown Sunday vs. Steelers due to injuries.
LB Terrel Bernard and WR Curtis Samuel also OUT. TE Dalton Kincaid is QUESTIONABLE.
Bills were sacked 8 times last week & passing attack struggled.

Without Dawkins, Allen and company once again have to change up their game plan on offense. Buffalo will undoubtedly have a plan, but the Steelers went out and spent more on their defense in the offseason than they ever have before.
While it hasn’t exactly paid off, the Steelers (6-5) have plenty of difference makers on that side of the ball that could make Allen’s life extremely difficult.
All of that said, Allen is still first in PFSN’s QB Impact Metric. His B+ grade is stellar, and the only player near him happens to be the Patriots’ Drake Maye. Buffalo doesn’t have to worry about New England for a few more weeks, but that’s still a team they know could make or break their season.
Dawkins’ absence may impact how much the Bills run the ball or how much time Allen has to throw. To make things even worse, WR Curtis Samuel is out, and TE Dalton Kincaid is questionable. Plenty of Allen’s weapons are compromised, so it will truly be a mystery how this offense looks come November 30 in Pittsburgh.
