Legendary New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is currently on a media tour for his new book, titled “The Art of Winning.” His girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, had a significant role to play in the book’s tributes to some of Belichick’s favorite individuals.
Bill Belichick’s Tribute to Brady Inspired by His Girlfriend
Belichick’s girlfriend has received a lot of criticism in recent months. Her role as the iconic coach’s agent has caused a stir in the media, but on this occasion, her influence appears to have created a heartwarming tribute in the new book.
Hudson, who is 49 years younger than Belichick, has been heavily involved in his life over the past year. Many have claimed she is serving as the “de facto” agent for the coach, making it difficult to arrange advertising and interviews with him.
She inserted herself into a Dunkin Donuts ad that Belichick was booked for, with the ad airing during the Super Bowl earlier this year. The coach had a couple of lines in the ad, while Hudson stood next to him in a Dunkin tracksuit.

The couple then went viral when she interrupted one of Belichick’s interviews with CBS Sunday Morning. When a question came up about how the couple met, she interjected, saying they weren’t discussing the matter.
Still, she has brought some new ideas to the table, and certain pages in the book are an example of that. In what was a nice touch, Belichick dedicated page 199 to Tom Brady, marking the pick he was selected with in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft.
He also attributed page 56 to Lawrence Taylor, one of Belichick’s all-time favorite players, and the iconic number he used to wear.
In an interview with “The Pivot,” Belichick was asked why he felt it was important to recognise her in the book. He then gave his girlfriend the credit for the gesture:
“Because she had a lot to do with it. One of the great ideas she came up with is when I was writing the acknowledgements for Coach (Bill) Parcells, Lawrence Taylor, Tom Brady, and my Dad, the four people that really meant a lot to me in my life. She came up with the idea, of Why don’t you give them their page? Give Taylor 56. Give Brady 199.”
He went on to say he loved the suggestion:
“I thought that was a great idea, so we incorporated that into the book… and I wanted to give her credit for it.”
‘The Art of Winning’ Release Date
