Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski achieved immense success playing for Bill Belichick, making headlines as one of the greatest dynasties in NFL history while winning multiple Super Bowls. But recently, Belichick has been stealing the front page for a far different reason.
Edelman and Gronkowski’s Bachelor Party Plan
Belichick’s newfound relationship with Jordon Hudson has caused a media frenzy like we’ve never seen before surrounding the iconic football coach. Since moving on from the NFL, Belichick has spent some time working on TV, including the Super Bowl coverage he did alongside Pat McAfee. However, his relationship is what’s really caused a stir.
Hudson, 24, is 49 years younger than Belichick. The two allegedly met on a plane and have since developed a relationship that has become unusually public by the coach’s typical standards.
Photos of the two have appeared on Instagram, and after taking their relationship public, they were the subject of countless jokes at events like the ‘Tom Brady Roast’ on Netflix, NFL Honors night, and Saturday Night Live.
When recently asked about attending their wedding, Edelman joked:
“We’ll take him on the bachelor party. We won’t go to the wedding, though.”
Gronkowski then chimed in:
Yeah, we’ll throw it (the bachelor party). It’s not going to happen, though (the wedding), if we bring him on a bachelor party trip.”

Edelman had recently said Belichick needed to ‘practice what you preach,’ noting that the number one thing during his time with New England was eliminating distractions. Players needed to be focused on football, and the media frenzy surrounding the relationship would’ve been frowned upon during that era with the Patriots.
An Unwelcome Distraction at UNC, According to Edelman
Hudson has recently caused a stir at the University of North Carolina, where Belichick is the head football coach. He signed a deal worth $10 million per season to coach the college program, and UNC had reportedly become concerned about Hudson’s involvement.
According to many, including Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports, Hudson is acting as Belichick’s agent, which has caused many odd situations with TV and advertising deals. On one occasion, Hudson reportedly wrote an entire storyline about the ‘hard launch’ of their relationship during a TV ad Belichick had been hired for.
She also appeared in a Super Bowl commercial right next to him after insisting she would be involved.
Edelman said on Colin Cowherd’s ‘The Herd’ that we need to ‘keep the main thing the main thing,’ highlighting how football remains the main priority.
