Bill Belichick Has Alternate Plans for Day of Hall Of Fame Ceremony Thanks to Jordon Hudson, With Tom Brady Invited

Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon has reportedly got alternate plans for the same day as the 2026 Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony.

Bill Belichick may not be heading to Canton for an induction this summer, but he reportedly will not be spending Hall of Fame enshrinement day quietly.

Days after the eight-time Super Bowl-winning head coach fell short of first-ballot entry into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a report revealed that his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was drawing up alternate plans.

Jordon Hudson Reportedly Plans Big HOF Day Bash For Boyfriend Bill Belichick

According to People.com, Hudson is organizing a large celebration for Belichick, set to coincide with the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony, with several prominent figures from Belichick’s career reportedly among the invitees.

“Jordon is planning to throw Bill a huge bash on the same day as the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony,” the insider said.

The guest list, according to the same report, is expected to include the group that had initially planned to attend a potential induction. “Tom Brady, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcels, and others who were planning on attending Bill’s HOF induction ceremony in Canton are invited,” the report further mentioned, citing some of the most recognizable names in the NFL world connected to Belichick.

Other invitees, the source adds, include “many of the outspoken supporters from the wake of Belichick’s HOF snub,” referring to figures across sports who publicly criticized the decision when it became public that he had not made it in on the first ballot.

The planned celebration is scheduled for Aug. 8, the same day as the Hall of Fame ceremony, and is a way for those close to Belichick to gather in support after a week of intense reaction.

According to the source, the stated purpose of the event is to “celebrate alongside all of his people,” giving Belichick a different kind of spotlight even as the Hall enshrines its 2026 class.

Belichick’s 2026 Hall Of Fame Snub Sparks Controversy

The idea for the bash emerges directly from the fallout over Belichick’s Hall of Fame outcome. Earlier in January, ESPN reported that he failed to reach the 40-of-50 vote threshold required for induction, falling short in his first year of eligibility despite a resume that includes six Super Bowl titles as a head coach, two additional championships as a defensive coordinator, and a long list of playoff appearances and division crowns.

The voting result shocked many, given the expectation that he would be a near-lock as a first-ballot selection.

Belichick’s omission prompted public pushback from some of the sport’s biggest names. Tom Brady, his longtime quarterback in New England, told ESPN he did not understand the decision and argued that if Belichick was not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, “there’s really no coach that should ever be a first-ballot Hall of Famer,” calling it “completely ridiculous” that he did not get in.

Patrick Mahomes, LeBron James, Deion Sanders, and J.J. Watt were among others who voiced disbelief or criticism on social media, describing the snub as “insane” and “disrespectful” and insisting there was no plausible case against his eventual induction.

Per reports, Belichick had previously set aside his long-running feud with Patriots owner Robert Kraft when they were announced as part of the same finalist group, with Kraft himself publicly stating that he believed Belichick should be inducted.

The dynamic added another layer to the voting story, as the two were effectively competing for a limited number of spots on the ballot. The official list of 2026 inductees will be announced at NFL Honors on Feb. 5, and Belichick will not be eligible for reconsideration until 2027.
