Bill Belichick Expected to Have Busy 2024 Schedule, Including Regular Manningcast Appearances

Bill Belichick is expected to be a busy man in 2024. That now includes regular appearances on the Manningcast for Monday Night Football games.

Bill Belichick is set to be a busy man in 2024, his first year out of the coaching ranks in nearly half a century after his departure from the New England Patriots this offseason. The long-time head coach looks poised to take part in plenty of media exploits in 2024 with an eye still toward a return to coaching in the next hiring cycle.

Bill Belichick Expected To Be Manningcast Regular in 2024

Belichick is slated to be a recurring member of the Manningcast show with hosts Peyton and Eli Manning on their weekly show — Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, also known as the Manningcast — throughout the 2024 NFL season, according to a report by The Athletic.

The Athletic also reported that Belichick is expected to make millions between a recurring role with the Manning brothers, a book deal, a potential inside football show, and possibly a podcast, according to executives briefed on his plans.

While the amount Belichick will make is in the millions, the exact figure is unknown. His book deal advance is expected to be well into the seven figures, The Athletic reported.

Belichick is set to make his media debut of sorts on Thursday when he appears as a co-host on The Pat McAfee Show’s Draft Spectacular, which will be held live at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit. Belichick appeared on the show last week to announce the news with McAfee.

Although a deal with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions has not yet been fully agreed upon, it is reportedly “moving in that direction.” Belichick would not be on for every game but would appear regularly in a new wrinkle for the show after guests have previously appeared just once during a season.

It’s also an interesting partnership due to the longtime on-field rivalry between the Mannings and the Tom Brady-led Patriots over the years.

All of this comes on the heels of Belichick’s 24-year run as the Patriots’ head coach comes to a close. He won six Super Bowls across his lengthy tenure in New England, the last of which came in 2018. The franchise has struggled in recent seasons, however, particularly after the departure of star quarterback Brady, who won Super Bowl 55 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring after the 2022 season.

Belichick will now spend at least a year away from coaching for the first time in 49 years after beginning his time in the NFL as a special assistant with the Baltimore Colts in 1975.

He interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons’ head coaching job this offseason and appeared on the outside to be among the top contenders for the gig, but Raheem Morris was ultimately hired for the job. Belichick was reportedly not among Atlanta’s top three candidates when top lieutenants voted on the team’s next head coach, according to ESPN.

Still, the expectation seems to be that Belichick will once again put himself in the mix for head coaching opportunities after the 2024 season.

Time will tell whether he ultimately lands another gig, but it’s clear there is plenty of desire for him on the media side of things, both this year and down the line when he ultimately decides to step away from coaching for good.
