Bears HC Ben Johnson Gives Hilarious 5-Word Answer Revealing What He’d Give Up To Win a Super Bowl

Ben Johnson has yet to prove whether he will be a good head coach, but one thing that he does not have to prove, however, is his desire to win.

On a recent podcast appearance, the Chicago Bears head coach revealed what exactly he would give up to win a Super Bowl.

Bears HC Ben Johnson Willing To Sacrifice Family Jewels for Super Bowl Victory

As Johnson so colorfully put it, he would be willing to cut off his “testicles” for Chicago to win a Super Bowl. This was said on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast.

“I’ve [already] got the three kids,” Johnson replied hilariously.

While this might sound extreme, this is not the first time a head coach has said that they would be willing to sacrifice body parts, if you will, in the name of winning.

Back in 2020, then Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel went on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” Podcast and was asked if he would cut off his penis for a Super Bowl victory.

“Yeah, probably… I’ve been married 20 years,” he replied.

Luckily, for all parties involved, there is no scenario in which these coaches will need to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to these commitments, but it must be refreshing for fans to hear how far these coaches are willing to go in the name of victory.

Johnson, the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, has been a hot commodity for the past couple seasons, finally accepting the Bears head coaching gig after the Lions’ loss in the playoffs to the Washington Commanders in the Divisional Round.

One might ask where Johnson learned to speak so… let’s say, eloquently, but the coach he reported to when he was OC of the Lions, Dan Campbell, was never shy to give a quote.

Most famously, Campbell said in his introductory press conference that, after getting knocked down “we’re going to get up and, on the way up, we’re going to bite a kneecap off.”

While Campbell and the Lions never actually bit a kneecap off, of course, there is no question that Campbell has had a successful run as the Lions’ head coach.

While it remains to be seen how the Bears will fare under Johnson’s leadership, at least it is known what he is willing to give up to ensure success.

Here’s to hoping that it never comes to that.
