The Atlanta Falcons are in for an interesting offseason in head coach Raheem Morris’ first (technically) year as the head coach. Atlanta has been heavily involved in the offseason quarterback rumor mill as potential suitors for Kirk Cousins and Justin Fields.
Assuming they find a solution at quarterback before the draft, how will the Falcons attack Morris’ first draft with the team?
This mock draft was made using Pro Football Network’s Mock Draft Simulator.

Atlanta Falcons 7-Round 2024 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 8: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
What the Falcons do with this pick depends on who is on the board here, as this feels like a likely spot for one of the big three wide receivers to land if they are on the board. However, on this go-around, they did not fall to this pick, which leaves Atlanta open to attacking other spots.
The Falcons’ top need aside from quarterback has to be addressing their pass rush. The Falcons have their top two pass rushers from 2023, Calais Campbell and Bud Dupree, hitting free agency. With Morris in town, Atlanta grabs a defensive superstar it can build around up front.
Round 2, Pick 43: Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan
Since the Falcons didn’t land a top wide receiver in the first round, they turn around and quickly address the need early in the second.
Roman Wilson is an immediate difference maker for the Falcons offense under OC Zac Robinson. His ability as a route-runner and after the catch make him a seamless fit, but it’s Wilson’s blocking ability — despite his size — that makes him a standout. The Rams valued that for years, and Robinson brings that philosophy with him to Atlanta.
Round 3, Pick 74: Kris Abrams-Draine, CB, Missouri
Atlanta could stand to continue adding to the depth of their corner room behind A.J. Terrell. Jeff Okudah is a pending free agent and likely departs, leaving a corner spot open on the outside. Despite having Terrell, Atlanta’s secondary didn’t generate a ton of production in 2023 and could use a boost in playmaking.
Kris Abrams-Draine’s tremendous ball skills give the Falcons the playmaking threat they need and a smart cornerback that can fit in Morris’s scheme. Terrell, Abrams-Draine, Clark Phillips III, and Dee Alford give Atlanta a good young corps of cornerbacks to ground its defense.
Round 3, Pick 79: DeWayne Carter, DT, Duke
It’s a pure BPA pick here that also aligns with a sneaky need for Atlanta, who could use another difference-maker on their defensive line. Both David Onyemata and Grady Jarrett are in their 30s with outs after the 2024 season, and Jarrett is coming off of a torn ACL.
The Falcons add a disruptive pass rusher to their defensive line to boost their front in 2024 and beyond.
Round 4, Pick 110: Javon Solomon, EDGE, Troy
Double-dipping into a talented pass rusher class makes a lot of sense for the Falcons, who need that kind of splash up front.
Javon Solomon is a bendy pass rusher with a quick first step off the line of scrimmage and can play all three downs with his competitive motor.
Round 5, Pick 142: Javon Baker, WR, UCF
Atlanta has to continue building out a full wide receiver corps of playmakers alongside Drake London. After adding speedy slot Wilson earlier, the Falcons added a deep-threat perimeter receiver in Javon Baker, who has the size and competitiveness to win outside and vertically in the NFL.
Round 6, Pick 199: Walter Rouse, OT, Oklahoma
The Falcons have their starting tackle spots locked up, but the depth behind them is far from settled. Rouse has mainly played left tackle and was a standout pass protector there, but he showcased his ability at right tackle at the Shrine Bowl.

Having that versatility as a swing-depth tackle would be a wise investment for Atlanta.
