There are plenty of talented wide receivers in the NFL, but few are playing at a higher level than Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown. Fresh off a massive contract extension, he is firmly in the prime of his career. And throughout his rise, he has had the support of his girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams.

While St. Brown gained fame starring on Netflix’s “Receiver,” Adams was also a visible presence in his life. She has helped him balance his football career and personal life, becoming a key part of his support system.
Their relationship goes back to high school. They met during their sophomore year at Servite High School in Anaheim, California. According to St. Brown on the show, the two were initially paired for an English class assignment, a simple beginning that turned into a lasting relationship.
“We had a project and started talking then. By the end of my sophomore year, we started dating, and we’ve been together ever since,” he said.
St. Brown’s parents met Adams not too long after, when she was 16. According to his dad, John, he was protective of St. Brown and his dreams. However, Adams was different. “I found out she was a really special girl,” said John in an interview on the show. “You’re my daughter now.”

After high school, St. Brown attended college at USC, ultimately pursuing a career in the NFL. Adams, on the other hand, got into nursing school in Orange County. When St. Brown was drafted to Detroit, their relationship became long-distance.
“She tries to come to as many games as she can,” said St. Brown.
Now at the NFL level, Adams remains by St. Brown’s side through every high and low. Cameras have often captured her in the stands, reacting to the thrill of big plays and the frustration of challenging moments.
When St. Brown battled a case of hand, foot, and mouth disease, she spoke about how difficult it was to see him hurting, a reminder of how closely she shares in his journey.
So far in 12 games this season, the Lions star has recorded 75 receptions for 884 yards and nine touchdowns. According to PFSN’s WR Impact metric, he is the fifth-ranked receiver in the league.
