Amon-Ra St. Brown, Keenan Allen Set to Showcase Their Skill Sets in a Different Sport During NFL Offseason

For Amon-Ra St. Brown and Keenan Allen, this February offers a kind of pause, a chance to trade the football field for the hardwood.

The NFL offseason feels a little like exhaling. The schedule loosens, and players get space to be more than what we see on Sundays. Old loves resurface, hometown gravity pulls, and the person beneath the helmet becomes easier to see.

For Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and Los Angeles Chargers veteran Keenan Allen, this February offers that kind of pause, a chance to trade the sharp lines of the football field for the rhythm of the hardwood.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Keenan Allen To Be Part of NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Keenan Allen will take part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, Feb. 13, launching All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. The game will air on ESPN and bring together a mix of athletes, entertainers, and cultural figures.

For St. Brown, Southern California is where his athletic story began, long before he became a wide receiver in the NFL. Growing up, he played basketball and soccer with his brothers. That background is why his appearance in the Celebrity Game feels less like a novelty cameo and more like a quiet homecoming.

St. Brown is coming off another exceptional NFL season. Even as the Lions finished 9-8 and last in the NFC North in the 2025 season, he remained a constant, earning his fourth straight Pro Bowl selection

He ties for second in the league with 11 receiving touchdowns, and ranks fifth in both receptions (117) and receiving yards (1,401). He has a score of 86.3  with a grade B on the PFSN NFL WR Impact (WRi) metrics. He ranks 5th out of all wide receivers for the 2025 season.

Sharing the court with him will be Keenan Allen, who recently completed his 13th NFL season.

A six-time Pro Bowler and the 2017 NFL Comeback Player of the Year, Allen has reached 1,000 receiving yards six times and surpassed 100 catches in five seasons. He remains the Chargers’ all-time leader in receptions and sits second in franchise history in receiving yards.

After spending a year with the Chicago Bears in 2024, Allen returned to Los Angeles in 2025, finishing the season with 81 catches for 777 yards and four touchdowns. For the year, he received a score of 73.6 with a C grade on the PFSN WRi and ranks 55th.

The Celebrity Game will feature a diverse lineup, including ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, rapper GloRilla, and producer Mustard, with Los Angeles Dodgers player Mookie Betts coaching one of the teams.
