Three years later, in April 2021, they got engaged and tied the knot on Jul. 19 of the same year. In October 2022, the power couple welcomed their beautiful baby daughter, SkaĆÆ Monfils.

Fourteenth seed Svitolina kicked off her Wimbledon 2025 campaign on Monday, Jun. 30, with a convincing win in the first round of the womenās singles event. The Ukrainian cruised past Hungaryās Anna BondĆ”r in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, securing her place in the second round of the grass court Grand Slam.
Just a day later, on Tuesday, July 1, Svitolina was spotted training her husband, Gaƫl Monfils, as he prepared for his first-round match at the third Grand Slam of the year.
The 30-year-old Ukrainian took a moment to share the news on social media, posting an Instagram story where she tagged her husband, Monfils, and gave a glimpse of their on-court training ahead of his debut match this season.

Monfils is set to face 18th seed Ugo Humbert in the first round of the menās singles at Wimbledon 2025.

After her win, the 2023 Wimbledon semifinalist sat down with Tennis Channel for a post-match interview. Joining her for the conversation was tennis legend Martina Navratilova. During the interview, she opened up about how she and her husband, Monfils, manage life as tennis parents to their daughter, Skai. She also shared insights into the strong chemistry she shares with Monfils, offering a glimpse into their life both on and off the court.
When asked about their match schedule and how it influenced their daily routine, Svitolina quickly responded, explaining why she loved the schedule and how playing on “opposite days” was helpful for the tennis couple. She said,
āFor me, I love to play opposite days of Gael because now, you know, I’m done with my day. I can enjoy, I can, you know, spend time with him today in the evening, his preparation, and then tomorrow, you know, I’m going to practice and watch his match.ā
Svitolina also spoke about how the schedule has helped them support each other. The 30-year-old said,
āSo I prefer this than when we’re playing same days, and then you don’t know, you know, if you’re playing same time, this is the worst. And yeah, I just, I prefer the scheduling.ā
Svitolina is set to face Belarusian tennis player Aliaksandra Sasnovich in her second-round match on Wednesday, Jul. 2.
