2024 Fantasy Football RB Rankings: PFN’s Top 100 Running Backs Include Bijan Robinson, Breece Hall, and Others

Pro Football Network's 2024 fantasy football RB rankings feature some of the biggest names in the league, including Breece Hall, CMC, and more.

There are several different potential fantasy football strategies to consider when it comes to drafting running backs, depending on your philosophy of the position. Some managers like to go hard at the position early in drafts, while others like to utilize the Zero RB approach and focus their highest draft capital on other positions.

There is always plenty of talent to be found at the RB position, but it’s also the one that generally suffers the most from injuries. Therefore, fantasy managers often look to draft four or five running backs to fill out their roster, but which are the best to draft in 2024?

Let’s take a look at our consensus RB rankings and which backs offer the best value this season.

Which RBs Should You Draft in 2024?

Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions

Gibbs delivered RB1 numbers in 2023 despite being undersized and part of a timeshare. His explosive playmaking ability and efficiency make him one of the most exciting young running backs in the NFL, but his volume remains a concern.

Gibbs’ value lies in his efficiency rather than sheer volume, which could limit his ceiling compared to other top RBs. Gibbs is currently being drafted as the RB6, 12th overall. This places him behind Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor, both of whom are likely to see more touches.

However, Gibbs’ talent and explosiveness make him an appealing pick in the back half of Round 1, especially if you’re targeting a high-upside RB.

De’Von Achane, Miami Dolphins

No matter what type of outlier performances are included in small fantasy sample sizes, 455 rushing yards on just 37 carries, 12.3 yards per carry (YPC), with an additional eight receptions for 63 yards and seven total TDs proves Achane can be elite fantasy producer in this offense.

Achane’s exceptional acceleration, elite top speed, and surprising contact balance made him a perfect scheme fit for this Dolphins’ rushing attack that loves to utilize wide zone concepts and punish soft seven-man fronts who are preoccupied with containing the vertical threat of both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the perimeter.

If you believe in Achane, you will probably have to spend a second-round pick to get him on your fantasy squad in 2024. His current ADP is No. 20 overall, and he is the RB7 off the board.

Zamir White, Las Vegas Raiders

White impressed as the Raiders’ lead back over the final four games of the 2023 season, posting solid fantasy numbers, including a stretch where he was the RB9 overall in full-PPR formats.

White’s 84 carries over the last four games of the season tied for the most in the league during that span. His 4.7 YPC during this stretch and projected workload suggest a strong fantasy floor heading into 2024.

While White’s rushing volume is encouraging, his minimal involvement in the passing game (only nine receptions for 60 yards during the final four games) limits his ceiling in full-PPR formats.
