NFL Cut Tracker: Russell Wilson, Justin Simmons, and Patrick Peterson Among Notable Players Released Ahead of Free Agency

With Russell Wilson and Jamal Adams already learning their fate, NFL teams are making necessary cuts. Here's the up-to-date 2024 list.

The NFL offseason is already underway, and teams have started to release their expendable highly-priced veterans to create more financial flexibility and salary cap space.

The most notable offensive player to be released so far is former Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson. The Wilson era has officially come to an end in Denver after a very disappointing two-year stint since the franchise made the blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

Aside from Wilson, other notable offensive players that have been cut include TE Hayden Hurst, RB Alexander Mattison, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and WR Allen Robinson.

On the defensive side of the ball, there have been a lot of familiar names released. Most notably, Buffalo Bills have parted ways with veteran defensive backs in S Jordan Poyer and CB Tre’Davious White, and other players such as S Justin Simmons, CB Patrick Peterson, and CB Avonte Maddox have been released.

Here is our up-to-date NFL cut tracker for all 32 teams for the 2024 offseason.
