Week 17 of the fantasy football season is here, and congratulations to all those managers who are playing for a championship. It has been a long season, and to be playing in a title game is a big accomplishment. Now that you are in the championship, let’s make sure you are as prepared as you can possibly be.
Let’s take a look at receivers Michael Pittman Jr., Zay Flowers, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba and see if they will be playing in Week 17.
Latest Injury Update on Top WRs
Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
Pittman missed last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, and it isn’t a coincidence the offense struggled in the 29-10 loss. He has been a big-time playmaker this year, as his 99 catches are sixth in the league, while his 1,062 yards are 13th.
He suffered a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers on a devastating hit and wasn’t cleared out of the protocol in time to play. However, there is good news when it comes to his status this week. He was able to log a full practice on Thursday and, more importantly, wasn’t wearing the red jersey.
The red jersey shows that he has progressed through the concussion protocol. The fact that he was a full-go on Thursday would indicate that he is going to give it a go on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. It is a big game, as the loser will be all but eliminated from the playoffs.
Expect Pittman to go, but also make sure there aren’t any setbacks for Pittman as well.
Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
Editor’s note: Flowers missed practice again for the Ravens on Thursday.
Flowers was a big part of the Ravens’ big win against the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas night. He finished the game with nine catches and 72 yards, and he was able to score a touchdown as well. However, he came out of that game with a calf injury, and it may be a tough turnaround for him to get back.
The fact the game was on Monday night is always a quick turnaround for any healthy player, but with a guy battling an injury, it becomes even tougher.

Right now, it is looking good for Flowers being able to play against the Miami Dolphins. He has currently missed both Wednesday and Thursday’s practices, and that will make it tough for him to be ready.
He was battling injury issues going into last week as well, but he practiced earlier in the week and was able to go.
The Ravens and Dolphins game is an absolute monster one, as the winner will all but clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC. If he is able to go, you can expect him in, but right now, it is looking more and more likely he will be inactive.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are facing must-win games every week, and rookie receiver Smith-Njigba is taking his game to another level at the perfect time.
In the win against the Philadelphia Eagles two weeks ago, he had four catches for 48 yards and the game-winning touchdown. He followed that up last week with six catches for 61 yards in the win against the Tennessee Titans. His emergence makes this team even tougher to stop on offense, but he is battling some injuries entering Week 17.
He was limited at Wednesday’s walkthrough due to a knee injury, and he is expected to be a game-time decision. The fact he was doing anything is definitely a good sign. If he was extremely hurt, they wouldn’t even have him on the field. He is a huge part of their offense, and their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is a must-win for both teams.
It is still early on him, but right now, he feels like someone who is more than likely going to play. Stay tuned to Pro Football Network for injury updates on Smith-Njigba and all of your favorite fantasy players.
