Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy

Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins

There hasn’t been a single wide receiver this year who has been better in fantasy than Hill, and he still has a chance to have the greatest season ever for a wide receiver. He currently leads the NFL in yards (1,542 yards) and touchdowns (12) and is currently No. 2 in catches (96). Only Keenan Allen has more receptions (108).

However, it isn’t all great for the former Super Bowl winner, as he is dealing with an ankle injury that made him miss Friday’s practice. That is the first sign right there that this could be an injury that potentially keeps him out of the game. Generally, teams want all their active players practicing on Friday, as that is when they go over their first 10-15 plays.

Obviously, Hill is a guy who knows the offense so well that, even though he didn’t practice Friday, he could still be ready to play on Sunday. The Dolphins are facing a very important game against the New York Jets. After this game, Miami could in theory be the underdog in their final three games. They are currently the No. 2 seed in the AFC, but one loss could have them as the No. 4.

After the game last week, Hill said he texted his wife saying he was hurt, but she told him to get back in the game. I would expect him to give it a go, but he may not be quite the explosive player he has been all season.

Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints

Olave has had to battle with a lot of injuries this year, but he has battled through and continued to be very solid for the New Orleans Saints.

Last week, he had four catches for 28 yards and one touchdown in the win against the Carolina Panthers. Despite playing last week, he is still on the injury report with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable.

Considering he didn’t practice on Friday, it feels like Olave may not be able to go on Sunday in a pivotal game against the New York Giants. The Saints are currently in a three-way tie for the lead in the NFC South with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons.

It feels like Olave is going to miss this week, but it also feels like we won’t know until the last minute.

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Godwin was able to play last week against the Falcons, and he had five catches for 53 yards. He was still heavily targeted in the game, as he had the ball thrown to him 11 times.

His status right now is currently questionable, as he is battling with a knee injury. On Friday, Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said that it is going to be a game-time situation against the Green Bay Packers in a monster game with huge playoff implications.
