There are some speedsters and fantasy football stalwarts out there who have been battling injuries lately. As Sunday of Week 12 creeps up on us, what is the latest on Marquise Brown, Zay Flowers, and Odell Beckham Jr.?
WR Injury Updates
Marquise Brown, Arizona Cardinals
Brown has had an up-and-down season so far for the Arizona Cardinals. He has four games where he was the WR23 or better. However, Brown also has five games where he was the WR47 or worse. Now Brown is dealing with a heel injury.
Brown did not practice on Friday, and he is listed as questioned for Sunday’s NFC West battle against the Los Angeles Rams. The WR room in Arizona is beat up, and rookie Michael Wilson has already been ruled out. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Brown’s absence was “precautionary.”
Brown is the WR29 in PFN’s Consensus Rankings, and if he misses this week, Greg Dortch could see an uptick in targets.
Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
Fantasy managers have been waiting for that big rookie breakout from Flowers, but it has yet to come. He is currently WR38 on the season, with his best finish in Week 6 as WR15, but now he might be battling a hip issue.

Flowers missed practice on Thursday, but he did return on Friday as a full participant and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chargers. When asked about his ailment, Flowers responded on Friday, “I feel good. I’m ready to go; I feel great.”
He was asked if he was going to play against the Chargers, and Flowers responded, “That wasn’t even a question. I had to take a little break really quick. Now, I’m back.” If Flowers suffers a setback, Odell Beckham Jr. would see more targets as long as he is active.
Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore Ravens
Beckham has been coming on strong lately, ranking as the WR21 over the last three weeks. However, he is currently dealing with a shoulder issue and has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Beckham finished the week with a full practice, so fantasy managers are optimistic, but Beckham came out on his own later, giving a personal update on his status. “It’s a game-time decision; I’m trying my best to get into the game, each and every way … I won’t say that it will be pain-free, but I’ll definitely find a way to do what I can for the people in this locker room, this team, find a way to help us steal another win.”
