Both Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson were active and played this week for the Chicago Bears, but despite a high-scoring game, neither RB was able to get much going. No RB had more than 35 yards on the ground, and the leading rusher on Sunday was Justin Fields, who had 104 yards.
RB D’Onta Foreman left in the third quarter after injuring his ankle, leaving the door open for Johnson going forward if he remains sidelined. Should he be acquired in fantasy football off of waivers?
Should Roschon Johnson Be a Fantasy Waiver Wire Add in Week 11?
The Bears backfield has been messy this season. Early on in the season, it was Herbert. He was the main guy for five weeks until he went down to injury during the game against Washington in Week 5 and was promptly put on injured reserve.
Fantasy managers were ready for rookie Johnson to take over, but unfortunately, he also succumbed to a concussion during the same game.
Johnson missed two games due to his injury and returned in Week 8 against the Chargers, rushing for 21 yards in that contest. With both Herbert and Johnson missing time, Foreman ascended to the top running back role and acquitted himself admirably with the opportunity, but he dealt with an ankle injury throughout Week 11 prep.
Johnson is currently RB54 on the season, with his best finish coming in Week 1 when he was RB12. He is not a priority on the waiver wire this week. With Fields back under center, the rushing yards are even more diluted, and it is not like Johnson was doing much with the opportunities that he was getting. He has been averaging 4.9 carries a game.

The Bears have one of the worst schedules moving forward for RBs, taking on Minnesota, followed by Detroit and Cleveland after a Week 13 bye. There is no need to target this Chicago running offense, as the team should soon start to look forward to the 2024 season.
