The Chicago Bears are coming off an impressive win against the Las Vegas Raiders, 30-12. It is even more impressive that their quarterback was an undrafted rookie making his first start. The starting running back was also the third-string RB earlier in the year.
D’Onta Foreman was spectacular in last week’s win. Was that performance enough for fantasy football managers to play him again, or should they have Roschon Johnson in their lineup?
D’Onta Foreman’s Fantasy Outlook This Week
Foreman has shown throughout the past couple of seasons that he can have a big game, and that’s what he did against the Raiders. He had 16 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns, but his dominance didn’t just come from the ground.
He also had three catches for 31 yards and even caught a touchdown pass as well. He finished with a staggering 33 PPR points. Last season in Carolina, he ran the ball for 914 yards and five touchdowns. He had five games with at least 113 yards last season and is a guy you can lean on to wear a defense out.
The Bears will be in action against another AFC West team, the Los Angeles Chargers, on Sunday Night Football. The Chargers rush defense is 10th in the NFL. They allow 96.8 yards per game. That is a misleading stat, though, because their pass defense is on pace to be the worst in NFL history (310.0 yards per game)
Roschon Johnson’s Fantasy Outlook This Week
Johnson has missed the Bears’ last two games due to a concussion but appears to have a pretty good chance of playing against the Chargers, barring a setback.

With Foreman playing so well, it is hard to see Johnson having a role in this game. One area in which Johnson is better than Foreman is the passing game, where he can make a lot of plays. In the opener against the Packers this year, Johnson had six catches for 35 yards.
The Bears definitely like Johnson and have plans for him moving forward, but to expect him to have a massive role in this game may be asking a lot.
Which of the Bears Running Backs Should You Start?
PFN’s Start/Sit Optimizer projects Johnson to finish with 9.4 fantasy points and Johnson to have 7.9 fantasy points.
The old saying is, “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” That is the perfect analogy for this scenario. Foreman was outstanding last weekend and has earned the right to continue getting the ball. It is still too early to count on Johnson to have a huge role, and we need to wait and see him back on the field before putting him in your fantasy lineup.
